Upper helix piercing problems

It won't stop getting bit and red.

Here's the story:
Got two about 2 months ago
1 and a half month later, it got big and red. Went away after 2 days. A day after it goes away, it does it again. Big and red for a week. Two days after that one goes away (Today) it gets big and red again.

It never hurts, never pulses, pusses a bit every now and again but nothing bad.

Any thoughts?

The problem is that there's no real blood flow there to naturally clean the piercing, so you have to do it manually. It sounds like it's just getting a bit irritated/dirty with minor infections.

Just to be sure to clean it out and it should be fine. Clean the ring too, or it'll start to get dead-skin smell.
