generally lower and middle end stores, so for casual wear, no clothing over $50 and no shoes over $100
ive got 3 pairs of jeans, one from Target ($30), one from Kmart($35), and one from Myer($50)
a few shirts. mainly T shirts, or long sleeve T shirts. they also come from the same places. They dont seem that bad actually. i probably couldnt tell that they came from Target.
As for shoes, ive got one pair of trainers for about $60 and a pair of leather boots for $50 which is a factory second (scratch on the side)
ive got one backpack that i bring to university thats not very stylish, but highly practical. i cant remember where i got it, but it was about $30. ive also got a canvas messenger bag for about $20 from target.
im also quite fond of wearing bucket hats. ive got a blue one and a black one. both came from flea markets
when you assemble them, they look pretty good
Du'n't matter where I buy it, most of them were made in South East Asia.

Those maddox jeans are shitty.
Wait until they drop the Calvin Klein ones to $90 again, so comfortable.

I usually go to Macy's. Prices aren't bad, generic clothes with some cool name brands tossed in. Casual, Dress-Cas, Dressy/Business....its really got just about everything I could need. Plus I'm a snipe on discounts there. Last time I went I snagged
-$60 shirt for $16
-$10 tie for $2
-$35 shorts for $20
Of course, it helps having a Macy's card...but that's just more incentive to go back there :)

As far as jeans go as long as they look ok, and they're strudy I'll get them from anywhere, I don't really like hugely expensive stuff.
T-shirts are either band ones or from Affliction/Xtreme Couture only.

beergoggles, I read in another thread you have a 29" waist and chest bigger than 44" (impressive btw!), so does that make it hard for you to find tops and jackets that fit right?
I have a terrible time finding clothes to fit me, and trousers/jeans are especially hard since I have a waist that measures 23" and hips that measure 36". I only own jeans by Miss Sixty but have to buy them on eBay cos I'm too poor at the moment to afford them from new. :(
What makes it doubly hard for me also is that the high street fashions SUCK. It's all this TopShop style at the moment, e.g. footless tights, thick belts worn under the boobs and tops that look like they're from the maternity section. I have to alter nearly all of my tops and dresses to fit my shape.
Are you a nudist???
Funnily enough, I do think I'm a nudist at heart. Sometimes clothes can feel too restrictive to me, especially if they press too tightly on my stomach. Last summer I went to Portugal to stay in a private villa with my boyfriend and his family and spent most of the time walking around without clothes on - they just didn't seem necessary in the beautiful weather, especially when swimming. Can't do that here in England though, it's way too cold all the time.

I used to buy a lot from this Japanese store called Uniqlo, they have a few stores around London, their clothes are quite nice and relatively cheap, a pair of jeans going for about 30 quid.
Lately though I had to buy more formal clothes since I'm working in an office, stuff like shirts, I went to the Armani store and spent an arm and a leg.

Right now--camo hunting boots I got out of dumpster; jeans and a black leather belt, also from a dumpster; plaid flannel shirt I got for $1 at a thrift shop.
Topped off by a Woolrich hunting cap (62 cents, on sale at a thrift shop)--and an Eddie Bauer down jacket--paid almost $5 for that.

Pants, usually JCPenny or wherever I can find my size at a decent prize. Sucks being thin and tall at the same time.
T-shirts, pretty much anywhere, from Target, to JCPenny again, to Anchor Blue, Pac Sun, etc.
Button shirts, again, wherever I find ones that I like.
Same goes for shoes and tennishoes, although formal shoes those I buy them here.

Jack Wills:facepalm: honestly for fuck sake. Alot of whores at my school wore that shit (and the men/boys). it is so tool like and retarded... What social class are you from, because the only jack Wills wearers I knew were middle class girls who were so vacuous it made me want to get my act and cleave there skulls...
I shop at Marks & Spencers mainly, the mixture of any size clothing and the non threatening aura due to it mainly serving middle aged men makes me enjoy shopping there profusely, plus there clothes are good value.

The fact you shop at Marks + Sparks says everything anybody really ever needed to know about you.
I've worn JW for years, since before it became this huge fashion thing, when you could only get it from a catalogue cuz there wasnt a site and there were like 3 shops, all down south.
And yeah, upper-middle class is about right but a rarity - I'm not a vacuous bimbo...!

beergoggles, I read in another thread you have a 29" waist and chest bigger than 44" (impressive btw!), so does that make it hard for you to find tops and jackets that fit right?
I have no problems with normal clothes. I wear 30/32 jeans and use a belt that I modded to fit me. T-shirts are easy too, I just wear a large or x-large.
I have never bought a suit before, and I've never had the need to wear one. I imagine I'd look like Spongebob Squarepants if I ever did buy one.
I've never measured my shoulders but they are VERY broad. If my chest is about 44", my shoulders are probably around 50" or more, as a guess.
Edit: I haven't bought new clothes in a while because of how fast I've been growing. I used to wear slim fit jeans, but they are tight on me now that I've put a couple inches on my thighs. Not to mention my glutes are VERY developed from doing heavy squats.

For t-shirts and the like usually:
Jimmy'z - great store, low prices, awesome shirt designs.
Van's - Not great quality, but low prices, makes for good filler clothing
Gap - Because they have the softest and ultimate solid color t-shirts. God they are amazing.
Zummiez - They sell skate style clothing. It's bright and flashy. Most of it is trash, but some stuff is awesome.
Jeans:
Jimmy'z - because they always have ballin' sales, and interesting jean designs.
Buckle - They have a huge selection, and multiple shades of wash for each style of jean. And the people there are oh so helpful.
Random stores I like to hit up just to see what's there:
Fossil
Banana Republic (when I need something a little dressy)
Urban Outfitters
Journey's
Pac Sun (bathing suits.)

I've got some ties with punk and ska designs, don't know if there is even a brand name on them.
But do you have a black suit, black tie, white shirt, porkpie hat, and black loafers?
I like to just walk down Telegraph (Berkeley) and the Union Square area (SF) and hop into whatever store catches my eye. I really like Bancroft Clothing. They carry PF Flyers and have a pretty decent clearence rack for shoes.
Tees- teefury.com (ceiling cat will be up until midnight EST tonight!), bands, GAP (must be on sale, but nicely tight fitting and soft), Hanes (thank god for Target), and really whatever I see around.
Shirts- Macy's. Carries a pretty broad selection. I actually like stuff by Vans. They tend to fit me well and I don't mind most of their stuff that isn't too skater-y. And stuff around. Some skate stores have decent stuff. As much as I hate to admit it, Urban Outfitters in SF is amazing solely for the lack of any decent security.
Jeans- Levi's exclusively right now, might try something else. Need another pair of blue jeans and need some dark ones too.
There's a thrift store on Telegraph that's decent, but Goodwill is worthless as far as I'm concerned. I got all my grandpa's old flannel (Grodin's and actual decent stuff that they don't make anymore), and everything else is either for fat people or just junk.

Combination of internet sites and stores. My favourites are probably:
Topman: Good for plain day to day wear, it's cheap enough to buy things from pretty regularly.
Zara: A bit more expensive, I get my slightly more formal stuff from there usually.
Levis: Just the jeans usually.
All Saints: I like the look of a lot of their clothes.
I also go to charity and vintage shops to try and find good bargains sometimes. There's a few independent shops in the cities around that I'll always look around as well, they sell some nice stuff.

The rest of my clothes are either from thrift stores or shoplifted from stores I can't actually afford.

H&M is utter crap. Everything I've ever bought from H&M falls apart within a few months. And it's overpriced as well. I really can't afford to spend more than $30 dollars on an individual garment, and you can not get something tailored for that, so unless I want to dress like I just crawled out of a dumpster, stores like Aero are really the only option.

Hand-me-downs, Thrift Shops, Goodwill, ect..
Some people will look at this and think.. bum.. drifter.. bohemian. The fact is my favorite clothing items and unique fashion style.. my own style.. is attributed to these main 3 locales. I'm typically into most vintage clothing, but for those of you that have never been into a thrift shop or the goodwill.. You wouldn't believe the brands and styles you can find in there for literally pocket change. I have 2 extremely nice Armani suits that I bought for less than $30 for both.. And if your anyone, you have to have some professionalism within your wardrobe. That's just my two cents.

Most of my casual wear is from summer and spring lines from snowboarding or skateboarding companies. For more formal, I wear Gap, Banana Republic, and Express.
My jeans are Krew, Ezekiel, Calvin Klein, and more Krew.

Plain shirts: Khols, Gap, Walmart
Other Shirts: Marshalls, Bape Store
Jeans: Marshalls, Gap, Bobs
Shoes: Marshalls
My normal non-work outfit is a plain black t-shirt, a pair of old faded Levis and some old Vans skate shoes.
SHOES: For day to day wear I buy Vans at the skate shop. For work boots I buy steel toe Wolverine work boots wherever I can find them cheapest, usually somewhere online.
PANTS: I buy generic Levi's at Wal-mart or Target or wherever. I wear them for work and when I am off work.
SHIRTS: For work I wear any old shirt, lots of old promo shirts that I got for free at various jobs or old shirts that I no longer like or whatever. For day to day wear I purchase shirts generic black t-shirts at Target or wherever.

^^ Oh lawdy..Also, I recently bought about $170 dollars worth of clothes at a store called Forever 21. A scoff pretentious, yes, but extremely affordable. I bought 6 beautiful shirts and a gorgeous pair of jeans at very reasonable prices. The shirts were around $20 each and the pair of jeans was around $35. I fully recommend it to everyone; happy shopping!
Oh, this is one of the shirts I bought. With the sleeves rolled up and the buttons undone a bit, I rock this shirt like no other. I can't wait till winter weather so I can sport a scarf too. In this sweltering and unbelievably humid heat, I'd broil.

What do you spend your money on, just out ofinterest. You make a few thousand here and there right? Between free clothing, hunting for food, your own cabin I am interested where it goes.
Since you ask, most of my busniness income goes right back into the business--buying merchandise, booth rent, business licenses, stuff like that.
My 1991 Mazda still isn't paid for, the last payment should be made later this year. And I put almost $1000 into repairs this year.
I spend a lot of money on food for the three of us--me, wife, and son--and lots more on cat food, dog food, kitty litter.
And I am still paying off the $12,000 bill my wife ran up in two days at a local hospital a couple of years ago.

I usually buy my shit at american apparel, urban outfitters, ae, and some other random online retailers. i do like to shop at thrift store, but it seems like it's always gross old people or people who are actually retarded and i just can't be bothered to interact with those sorts.

Eeew, Topshop. I went there when I was in New York City... I found most of the clothes gorgeous, but outrageously overpriced. $65 for a long sleeve there whereas I got a similar one that's just as beautiful for $22 at Forever.

Wherever it's cheap I suppose.
Pants from Walmart, most of my shirts I bought directly from bands' merch tables, other shirts from Sears or the like.

Every topshop I have ever been in has had a male section (topman) but perhaps it's different outside the UK.

I buy jeans and sweaters at Aeropostale, not because I especially like the clothes or the style, but because they're the best quality I can afford, and they're comfy.
The rest of my clothes are either from thrift stores or shoplifted from stores I can't actually afford.
When I have money, though, I tend to blow it all at La Senza buying $10 french lace panties and whatnot.
Right on! you shoplift, maybe you're a real person after all.
yeah when I was younger and actually spent money on clothes for some reason, I'd probably shop online or at those skateboard stores like "west 49" and by like 25 dollar shitty tshirts with logos on them or like 100 dollar sweaters.
Now that I'm older and broke everything I don't spend on smokes, bud or alcohol or drugs feels like a waste, but ocassionally I go to the salvation army thrift store. Recently I got
an awesome cotton shirt that looks like really thin canvas (but really soft), a christmas vest light blue and grey with christmas trees and reindeer on it and a lifeguard wifebeater in bluegreen so I can pretend to be a lifeguard and be all cool and shit.
Although I still do by decent jeans only because its impossible to find decent pants at the thrift store.
