Yeah........so this neighbour I assume is leeching my internet right?
So I decided to go ahead and try to fux this ho up by putting some actual security over my wireless network of course not having a clue what I was doing....
So I went onto my router's page or whatever and went into Wireless Security and set it to WPA and put in the key or whatever they asked for...now I'm still connecting to the internet fine though my wireless...thingies...client is saying its a bit slower than usual.
Anyway main problem now is that somehow they're still frikin connecting to it and I can't access my router page...I put it in and I get a blank page o.o and it says done....so some help perhaps?
Some ways to hack the bastard would be nice as well >_>

Just use a baseball bat.
I have three different neighbours >_> there is also more than one person living in all of the houses and secondly...a baseball bat wouldn't connect me to my router's page >.<

If you want to stop them completely, turn off your router.

1) Reset your router
2) Setup a unique SSID and secure password
3) Use WPA-AES encryption. (TKIP works too but vulnerabilities were recently discovered IIRC)
4) Set up a MAC filter
5) Disable DHCP and setup static IP addresses on all your hardware.

Er....>_> I don't really feel like resetting because that....resets everything

Thats the point, we're trying to start with a clean slate so you can properly config your router and keep your internet, your internet.
Resetting your router only resets it back to factory, so it will be like you just took it out of the box

Ok.....Well >_> Is it really as simple as you just listed...I mean after I reset which I accidentally did before It was all...not working o.o I also don't know wtf a SSID is but....I'll reset it >_> hopefully I'm not making a mistake

Use WPA2 (AES CCMP) with a non-dictionary password at least 10 characters in length (15 or more is better.) That is all you need to do.
WPA is also secure, but very skilled and dedicated hackers can now inject fake packets to corrupt and modify the data on the network. They can't actually read the data, however.
Forget about SSID (network name) cloaking (hiding the name of your network), any application that sniffs packets automatically decloaks the network.
I don't bother with MAC filtering, especially with WPA and a long password. If the attacker has the computer power and the thousands of exabytes of storage needed to brute force a strong WPA password, a MAC filter won't stop them.
MAC filters can be useful of WEP networks, since most script kiddies will crack the password with ready-made tools, but will give up when they find they can't connect to the network for some reason (the MAC filter.)

The SSID is the network name, and Syphilis is right, cloaking it doesn't do much but deter the general public, and it really is fairly straight foreward, what router are you using?

Linksys.....Think I'm gonna reset now so if anyone has some mur input now'd be a good time
.....I reset the power first and it frikin works now -.-;;;;;;
Don't see SSID....>_> so...............yeh...
I'm thinking forget the whole security thing cuz I just remebered about a second router which is wireles...used for Vonage though >_> which I'd also have to set up and all that so....I want to take the initiative? If ya know what I mean? Already got their IP >_>

Also, you wanna like set a custom SSID >_> to make your router more easily recognizable. Also be sure to set a password for the router login so people don't hax your shit... >.<

Fucking this. Also +1 for people using technology and thinking that electricity is little dwarfs with electrons in their backpacks while WIFI are little dwarfs attached to little invisible kites with 1s and 0s in their backpacks
(My junior high physics teacher explained electricity in this manner a few years back)

When you get back to your router configuration page, you can go to status>local network, and click on DHCP clients table. This will generate a list of all devices accessing your wireless network, and there's a chance the thief computer's name will give away who it is. If I figured out who it was, I would totally encrypt the network, but still bang on the door and angrily yell at them.
