Ok so I was at a concert last night and I was drunk and tried to kick a bottle needless to say my dumb ass missed and kicked the ground very hard. It wasn't really to bad of a pain but it definatly did not feel good the rest of the night and sometime of today like when I bend it or put pressure on it. Also last night when I took my sock off there was a little blood. Theres no swelling but when I move it if you feel the top "knuckle" part theres slightly different movement i guess you would say then the other toe. Its my big toe. I know the foot has the most bones in the body and im a little afraid it might be broken. Anyone know how you would be able to tell?

I know most will say go see a doctor but thats the thing im supposed to be deploying to afghanistan in a month and I DO NOT want off this mission and if it is broken im afraid i might get taken off for medical reasons. So yea any help would be awesome. If it is broken I just want to see what I can do to help it heal because regardless id rather go with a broken toe for a year then not be on this mission.

Can you comfortably walk on it? You never mentioned pain..

Also, from every break I've had, it swells, obviously hurts like hell, etc. etc. I've you broke it, moving it, or standing on it, would hurt like hell.

Go see an off-base doctor.

Most people break their toes without ever realising it. I, myself have broken a few toes and walked around in heels. Worst case scenario is that it heals a bit slanted. Unless the bone has snapped off completely then it's just a hassle having it bandaged up.

It's probably just jammed or something, but I'm pretty sure they can't do anything for broken feet or toes, they'll just give you crutches and tell you to keep your weight off of it. At least, that's what they told my mom and one of my friends when they broke their feet.

Ok thanks, I kind of figured it wasn't broken. As far as pain goes theres some pain when I bend it or put pressure on it. Nothing like searing or horrible. I think if anything it could be a possible fracture or something smaller then that.

As long as no matter what it is it will heal on its own im not to worried about it. Thanks for all your input

Which toe?
If it's any other than the big toe, don't even worry about it.
At worst, there'll be swelling, bruising and pain for a while.
And as mentioned previously, it might heal crooked.
There's really not much a dctor can do even if it is broken.
