Back in the day i used to play representative basketball and social soccer.

After i left school, i left the house only once or twice for a few hours a week, and stayed inside doing dxm and playing knight online.

Shits different now, and ive got my mental and spiritual stuff pretty much down. Ive been non-chalont about my body and i considered it shallow to be part of "body culture".

Now i think, just because most people who spend alot of time exersicing/working out/keeping fit worry about how they look and are looking for a false sense of gratification playing with themselves and others, doesnt mean that is my viewpoint, or that will end up being my conduct.

But ive realized its just like anything else, i hate it when people think weed smokers are no-life criminals; so i shouldnt treat the body culture any different.

I sighned up for combined martial arts class at uni :p

Yeah, unfortunately there are a lot of people out there who base their self-esteem on superficial things like appearance and that can keep them from being truly happy.
Looking after yourself can still make you feel happy to a certain extent though because things like proper diet and exercise are healthy for you, meaning it's easier to participate in life. :)

So you haven't really left school yet.

Some people, like myself, continue to play competitive sports post school. For me , it's tennis.
Going to the gym is greatly motivated by being better at sports with the "look of being athletic" as a side benefit.

good that you're doing martial arts now.

I took up BJJ and it's brilliant. Something I loved anyway, but it does keep you in shape.

.

basically my reason for bothering with any sort of diet and exercise plan. I want to go on bike races.
