Lots of people like roguelikes, lots of people like zombie games. What happens when you combine the two of 'em together? Motherfucking Rogue Survivor, that's what. (http://roguesurvivor.blogspot.com/)

It's Z-Day and everything is going to complete and utter shit. It's you and some dozens of civilians and cops and who the hell else knows versus the undead, and it's every man for himself. Grab as much shit as you can during the opening days of the uprising and haul ass, barricade yourself in some semi-defensable position and make periodic runs for ever-dwindling supplies. Everybody's got their own agenda and everybody's got their own needs, and if it comes down to you, a can of food and some other asshole - welp, you do what you've gotta' do. That's provided that said asshole isn't part of the ever-increasing zombie horde that will eventually engulf the entire city. That's ALSO provided that you aren't getting your ass beaten and shot by bikers, gangsters, cultists, corporate security, the army and plenty of others. In this game it's not a matter of surviving but of how LONG you'll survive: kill or be killed, rob or be robbed, eat or be eaten. Welcome to the apocalypse.

Besides the regular survival mode, though, there's also the option of BEING a zombie: spawn as one of several zombie types and do what you can to hunt down your quarry. Ambush survivors from corners and the shadows, zombify them and add them to the ever-increasing horde. As you claim more victims, you'll also eventually mutate into an even more powerful form to wreak even more havoc on the human population.

Features:

Completily freeform survival from zero hour of a zombie apocalypse
Full per-unit simulation of health, stamina, hunger and sleepiness
Random events, both positive and negative
Graphical interface - no "Z is a Zombie" shit
Semi-complete storyline of a sort
Achievements. No, seriously.
Music
Plenty of options to customize each game

For what it is it's not a bad game per say. However it's very unpolished and neigh impossible to get above level 4 because you'll just get killed nearly every 10 minutes. It's got a bit of a break in period maybe like 15-30mins till things get fun but after a while it just gets repetitive with no clear goals ease in leveling etc. I'd give it 5.5/10
