Last round hold open

So, I went to the range today to test out some self defense ammo for my new XD-9. I noticed that when shooting Hornady TAP, 147 gr. the slide never locked back on the last shot. This has happened to me before with fmj from limp wristing, but I am pretty sure that wasn't the problem here. All the other hollow points I shot didn't have this issue. Any ideas?

i have shot my guardian gold defense rounds out of my xd and they are +p jacketed hollow point .also, +p is plenty powerful enough to push the slide back all the way. maybe they were weak loads and they didnt push the slide back far enough?

anyway you shouldnt shoot +p all the time becuase it is hard on the XD.
