I seem to be infected with the Trojan horse Win32.Zafi.B. I got a warning about it last night through my Windows Firewall. It's now locking my system. I got on FireFox, and Google, my homepage, was blocked, saying "Unsafe Browsing: Risk Of Virus Attack". I tried to download Spyware Doctor, turns out I need to pay for it to do shit about it. Can anyone help me get this fucker out of my system?

Get SUPERAntiSpyware, Spybot and Avira. Those are all free and should wipe out the nasty bits.

Thanks for the bullshit. SUPERAntiSpyware caused more problems than it solved, namely, NONE. Now whenever I restart my computer, it requires a disc check. This is the last time I trust anyone on Zoklet.

Uh, SuperAntiSpyware is actually a pretty well known cleanup program. I use it and it seems to pick up what Spybot doesnt.
I have no idea why it requires a disc check. Never happened to me nor any of the computers I've installed it on. It's a pretty good little program.

My computer is probably fucked anyway, so I don't blame you. It's so weird though. I either got this by browsing around hentai clip websites, or downloading Roller Coaster Tycoon (the latter I suspect more). I don't know, I'll try Spybot, then. So long as this isn't one big joke, or I'll be REAL pissed.

CCleaner removes temporary files and cleans unwanted registry entries out. It can't remove viruses, spyware or defragment the disk.
I still recommend you get it though. Disk space is always good.

So what's the big deal about runnibg check disk
try Advance Windows Care 3.0, it's free.
But i would recommend you backup your data and do a clean Windows install.

ultimate boot cd and run the antivirus software through there.
Try to remove it with antivirus program through safe mode. f8
If worse comes to worse reformat your computer. If you want fewer viruses run ubuntu or linux.

Backup data then do a clean install and scan the backups you made.
I was infected with a nasty trojan and it somehow managed to get on my USB flash drives.

There's nothing wrong with SAS, but give MBAM (http://www.malwarebytes.org/mbam.php) a go. It often finds things that SAS misses.

SERIOUSLY - GET THIS!
http://devbuilds.kaspersky-labs.com/devbuilds/AVPTool/
-or-
http://devbuilds.kaspersky-labs.com/devbuilds/ and click AVP Tool
The scan takes forever, but I had Troj/Rustok-N.
This nasty fucker wouldn't let me:
- on any site to download anti-virus/spyware software
- on most video sites
- on my (campus) network to check my email/schedule/anything
- run system restore
- run defragmenter
- update windows
It was horrible! MalwareBytes, spyware DR, HJT - you name it, I tried it - couldn't help at all. The ONLY THING that found and removed it was the Kaspersky AVP devtool.
It is a ONE USE ONLY type of thing, it does not come with an updater, so every time you want to use it you should download the newest version. After removal of whatever virus, it will ask you to uninstall the program.
