I was just curious if anyone is producing any good Garand copys? I know Springfield had a limited run of some special edish ones, but I was curious if there were any others.

Thanks.

you have a few choices.

You could join the CMP and see if they have any left for sale, theirs go for about 400$-1500$ depending on what grade it received.

Or you could just buy a m1a1 which is made by springfieild and is what replaced the garand. The m1 uses a similar design as the garand.

qouting for bullshit.
sks is much uglier. The m1 garand action is a much better design and just as reliable if not more. and if you get a garand fro mthe CMP you could get one for 400$. That is just a little more than what the average sks is going for right now. Shit there are probably sks's going for that much now.

Does nobody but the CMP sell Garands anymore?

Sure, I have an M1A, but it'd be cool for historical purposes to have a Garand.

pretty sure the CMP is almost out of them. they have m1 carbines. And the collector grade m1garands last time i checked.

Pretty sure they are out of the 400-600$ garands. the m1 carbines are probably flying off the shelves to.

I have not seen any other places selling them. i am sure they can be found though.

dude you have a m1 a1 it is just like a garand but with better features and improvments.

It may be, but this is America dammit! I should be able to get the old model if I want to, just for kicks.

Sure I could have this,

But I'd rather have this:

See what I'm sayin'?

But I get what your saying.

You probably have a newer m1a1 but they have been around for a long time. I believe the m14 was used in vietnam but it was probably produced before then. not positive.
