A few months back, I went whaling with my captain, where I found 'Landlubber' an approximately 9-year-old narwhal, who was a terrible case of feral. We caught her, and I've been taking care of her since. She'd been gaining barnacles more rapidly than is generally healthy for a narwhal (they're very easy to make sick with parasites) so we had a vet come out and she was pronounced pregnant. My captain was not pleased, but I was.
Well last night, Landlubber had her baby. We were hoping for tusk (a narwhal term for the bony growth protruding from its front end) and we really got it with Twoforone (I named him... nudge nudge). He appears to be gloriously healthy, curious, and strong. He's gonna be a blast to make oil with.

Obligatory photo! More to come.
