Are there any chain stores that sell saltpeter/Potassium Nitrate?
Is there an age limit to buy saltpeter/Potassium Nitrate?

Read the description of the forum too. Don't stop at just the name. This forum is about drugs.
I shouldn't even be saying this but you can buy KNo3 on the internet. Google is your friend serf.

It's legal to buy on the internet in the UK as far as I know. I remember buying some when I was like 13 on my dad's card, you can make smoke bombs out of the stuff if you mix it with sugar over a low heat in a saucepan or something :o
Stump remover is KNO3, just dissolve it in water then filter it, then crash it out with ice or alcohol. >99% KNO3 results.
If you are stupid enough to not know that and post it this forum you definitely do not need it.
Also, KNO3+sugar just makes alot of smoke, if you treat it with Sodium bicarb you can make a pretty good rocket fuel, esp if you core it.
Of course it you know how to dehydrate the right chemicals then strip the NO3 off the potassium atom you can nitrate things like cellulose, phenol, glycols/glycerine, and a lot of other fun stuff.
I'm not stupid enough to tell an idiot like you how though.

i used to get salt peter from wiccan stores, they had it pretty cheap back in the day. moving to backyard ballistics, (or whatever the fuck it's called these days, pyromaniacs?)
snoopy, if you don't have anything useful to contribute to conversations in specialist forums, (even if they're in the wrong specialist forum) stay the fuck in peoo.
Since it's been a few weeks, let me remind everyone... if someone asks a question, try and fucking answer it before beginning to flame them for being a nub. that's why there's a god damned forum here.

Stump remover is KNO3
False. Stump remover hasn't been KNO3 since the early 90's when some jerkoff published the anarchist cookbook and every 12 year old with time on their hands started blowing their finders off.

It appears your thread has been moved here from BLTC. Considering we deal in different powders than they do over at BLTC, and that you maybe should have posted your thread in this forum to get more accurate replies, I feel kind of obligated to ask if there perhaps was another oxidizer you could use instead, provided of cause you weren't out to get high...
Where I live, KNO3 is just about impossible to come by whereas KMnO4 is pretty easy...

PS; sal(t)peter/potassium nitrate/KNO3 are the same thing, mate...;)

Fuck that, my ace only has sulfites. Same with home depot. They're phasing out the potentially explosive stump removers.

I just posted a rant yesterday about buying some cold packs and finding out they were urea. But I still see the nitrate one's more often, and just went to another store down the street and got some.

This as well. Turns out I found out one of the big box stores sells this brand. I took the bus all the way there, and it's place on the shelf is empty. I asked an employee where it was, and he was actually pretty pissed because they're computer system says they have it in stock and they don't. I was pissed, had to take the bus to a nursery just to buy low grade NaNO3. Wish I had known walmart has it. I'm using it to make nitrites though, not BP, so it's not such a big deal(I hate wet BP). I want the potassium salt though. I haven't looked up the solubility data, but the thread on inorganic nitrites over at scimad says the potassium salts have a greater difference in solubility than the sodium salts. I'd like to be able to get rid of any residual nitrate after the reduction.
Oh well, next time. If they don't stop selling that one too that is.
Seriously, some people want to burn their stumps, not just decompose the lignin.
so far as i'm aware there is no bltc reason to need those two, that's why i moved him down here.
Don't read much in F&B, do ya?;)

No you don't. I'm one of those guys who never has drugs but always wants to do them, and I have a severe case of Asperger's.
But I do have an awesome bedroom filled with neat contraptions and shiny glass objects. Smells like sour beer and rancid semen though. . .

Hmmh. I recall it being easy to find in 2006ish. I haven't checked, but maybe next time I'm at the hardware store I will. They probably don't stock much in the winter.

That's why you recrystallize it.

Just like I said several posts and months before.
MFD is correct in Grants is much more pure than Spectracide.
