Yes or no?

I was almost done making this thread, then I hit backspace and it disappeared. :( As a result, this thread is going to suck.

It would be insanely cheap, well compared to actual piercing places and malls and such. I'm thinking $2-3 for a generic belly ring, like this:

Walmart has them for $3 each, but they come in a package of 10, so you end up spending $30. I figure people would be much more willing to shell out $3 for 1 thing than $30 for 10 things.

I'd also sell 'fancy' belly rings, like these:

For around $5-8, I think. Walmart sells them for $30 for the 3 of them.

Let's see, I'd also have a smaller selection of maybe 50-100 tongue rings, and a few (maybe 10-25 of each) eyebrow, nose, and labret rings as well.

The jewelry would be displayed in a clean but not sterile case like this:

The jewelry would come in a small plastic bag, like this:

I also found a wholesale set of 100 stainless steel rings (for your finger) for $115, so I might buy those and try to sell them for around $5 each.

So yea, would you buy body jewelry at a flea market? It's important to note that I live in a large city, and it seems like almost everybody has body piercings, so there's definitely a market, I just don't know if a flea market is the right place to sell it.

I personally wouldn't mind it. The actually sell stuff like this at an inflated rate at this small little carnival/festival thing we have around here every year and the carnies seem to make a decent buck off it.

I would, I'd just be sure to clean it before putting it in. If you instruct anyone who asks or makes a comment to do so, they'll be more likely to trust you and go for it. Good luck!

Disneyland is wiggity wack. I went there once and I wanted to kill myself. There are only like 2 roller coasters, both of which are mediocre. And a bunch of faggy little kids stuff.

There's a flea market I go to with a piercing booth and the guy sells jewelry. Every time I go it looks pretty busy.

ask the guy who's selling it what's it made of. alot of those sketchy places make it out of cheap metals. surgical steel is good.

I would, and have in the past, as long as it doesn't look like crap. I sterilize anything I wear before I put it in anyways, so it's not really an issue for me.

All of the metal is surgical steel. I had that in my OP, but it got deleted.

Anyway, thanks for all the quick replies, guys. I didn't think people would be so willing to buy body jewelry from a flea market, so I was hesitant to try to sell it there, but you all have motivated me to do it.

I wouldn't but I reckon you should give it a go - won't know til you try and a few days will give you an indication of how willing people are.

If you have some of the sterile wipes, I'd chuck those in free too (raise your original prices by another .50c or something) so that people will feel you advocate cleanliness.

Personally I wouldn't ever want to buy anything from a flea market. However if you do, Surgical stainless steel, titanium, or even silicone or the only materials I would suggest to buy cheaply...

Oh, and remember, you can wipe it down or soak it in whatever you want to, but unless you have a chemiclave or autoclave, it isn't going to sterilize it completely.
