Title is pretty self explanatory. This thread is to discuss, share, and appreciate ecclesiastic music. That is, religious music. One doesn't necessarily have to be religious to appreciate some of the greatest feats of human culture. I'll start of with my favorites:

Hindu Chant (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w46gmDfUaQ0&feature=related)

The Heart Sutra (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-c9-XaA2f00)

Feel free to talk about these, or share your own.

I wish I had something to add, but my knowledge of religious music expires after my vague memory of Church music from the "Gather" book when I was growing up.

I'd be interested in hearing some diverse samples though.

Well, for Western liturgical music, there's always the Gregorian chants. I think they're rather bland as opposed to Eastern and Middle Eastern chants, but beautiful nevertheless. Here's some
