I seriously recommend this, if you haven't tried it out yet. It's a new beta with tracemonkey. Google it...

The speed is surprisingly fast compared with FF3, it's so sexy

It's only a beta atm, but just give it a try.

EDIT: In terms of speed, memory and a total kickass web-browser, I'd say in this order:
1. FF 3.1 Beta
2. Chrome
3. FF 3
4. Opera/Safari
5. IE (If you're using this, fuck you )

Yeah, just make sure it's Beta 2, not 1 :p

I should have just put a link http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/3.1b2/releasenotes/

Done :D

Hows the memory usage? Is it still the electronic equivalent of 10,000 tonnes?

Is it still a huge pile of fat fucking memory hog?

Thanks for the heads up, just installed it.

Is anyone else having problems with it crashing when you close it with tabs still loading though? Or is it just me.

I pretty happy with the current stable build 3.0.5. Even with 512MB of RAM I don't really have an issue with slowing up or delays.

Never had this before, although it crashed once on the beta version, which I reported.

well i've had it running for a few days now and these are the things i've noticed:

> the UI is more snappy (there was an artificial delay in prior versions)
> pages load even if they are not fully ready (this is what opera does to make things faster)
> a quick glance reveals that it does use a bit more memory that firefox 3.0.5
>javascript loads much faster, no doubt due to tracemonkey.

overall, most people wont notice the difference.

The fucking thing decided to make itself the default browser without telling me. Therefore, I uninstalled it.

Back to Chrome for me.
