99% of those who hate me are those who have never bothered talking to me about a problem and/or are trolls I keep banning.

As many threads on the subject - and polls - have shown, the vast majority either like me or don't care either way. It's just that those who do are very vocal about it.

I used to dislike Meta a lot, but I now consider him a pretty good guy/poster. He jumps the gun in bannings sometimes, but he's pretty reasonable if you talk to him about it. The simplest way to avoid trouble is just to not post retarded/contentless threads outside of HB, even in jest. I tried to justify it a lot of times by saying "But I make lots of good discussion threads too". The fact of the matter is if you spam, you're risking getting banned.

He also works on the site in a manner that many would describe as overzealous, but that same characteristic helps him actually get things done.

That said, the only thing I still hate is when he stops a discussion just because the original topic thread didn't meet his criteria. OneMulatoo had a few interesting threads that got closed simply because he didn't present a clear prompt for discussion. So, THAT's really annoying, but otherwise, Meta is A-okay.
