this summer im thinking about getting some clones and growing on an island. the only way to get there is by boat and with the raugh current there's no real other reason to go there.
anyways is there a way to set up on the island so i can just let nature grow my plants for me ? so i can come back every couple weeks to cheek how things are going, but not have to do everyday care?
should i put pesticide, other info would be useful. (im growing in canada)
some good out doors strand types would be useful.

I'm pretty clueless about growing cannabis, but I know that you can.
You'll have to do it at the right time if the year so it gets the correct light/darkness. Pesticide will be necessary. Google will help. I'm sure this question has been posed before.

Yea best to plant them in a place that gets equal light and dark, but growing outdoors is more tricky then inside..

This would be better suited for our sub-forum, From Seed To Smoke.

Some sort of water tank, a fence and camaflouge are good ideas.
Especially the water tank.. cause fuck boating that shit in... Unless you're on a fresh water lake

unless you set up some auto watering method (tricky shit) then you will need to visit them every other day, at least.

You have no idea what you're getting into.

ive done it before, i just brought it into the sunwhen i came home from highschool, and left it in the shade in my backyard otherwise, i gave it nutrients, watered regularly and it came out very nice and smoked well.. i fucked up on curing it a bit so i didnt sell any of it.. cuz you know how some kids they're to stupid to explain to them that i fucked up on curing it so it probably wouldnt have sold.. but i had a supply of bud for about 6 months.
the quality was good like out door chronic.. almost kush but not quite.. it wasnt bad for my first plant.
right now im growing poppy pods somniferum papaver. theyre coming along nicely

Yea watering it is the issue. Ive heard of people poking a tiny hole or two in a jug and letting that do its job, but I dont have any idea if that would actually work. My guess is no.

What about trying those polymer crystals they sell at home and garden stores? You mix them into the soil and they hold water, gel up, and slowly release the water over a couple of weeks.

You should be using them anyway... But its more like a couple of days.

Watering shouldn't be necessary, unless it's extremely dry.
If you're on an island you're going to run into problems with mold,
guaranteed . See that beautifull fog hanging over the water at dawn?
That moisture will destroy your buds in the fall ...
If you do plan on using the island think about some mould-resistant
strains like early skunk, frisian dew, etc ...
good luck & stay safe !

You should also make sure the pH value of the earth does not go bellow 6.5 or above 7.5
