Cold sore treatments

Well, I got this little fucker on my lip (I named him hitler) and its not showing signs of leaving. Its been there for 5-6 days now, I've stopped counting. What are some good treatment options? I've been using abreva, but it hasn't done squat. I found online that l-lysine is supposed to help a lot, so I am going to pick some of that up in the morning.

I'm going to see if I can get some stuff prescribed tomorrow. This one is not going away any time soon. It might not even be a cold sore, but possibly a infection.

it wasn't a cold sore. It was some sort of infected lip pimple. I ended up stabbing the fuck with a needle, getting all the shit out, and within a day it was 80% gone.
