Yeah, emulation is to emulate good shit, emulating the 3DO is somewhat equivalent to having a Star Trek Holodeck and emulating the time your uncle groped your penis.

I read the title as 3DS emulator and got excited :(

It would be cool but I defo recommend actually getting one. Super Mario 3D Land, Pushmo, Kid Icarus Uprising and Dillon's Rolling Western are all games that look absolutely fantastic in 3D, it's just something else entirely.

Actually, I've never watched an episode of Star Trek in my life. The Holodeck, on the other hand, is an incredibly popular piece of pop culture and science fiction, like another Star Trek device, the Replicator. Science fiction is an extremely important part of actual science. In fact, any unverified theory out there is just science fiction as well. And if nobody had written theories on things, would we have advanced beyond the stone age? Once upon a time, automatons were though to be a thing of fantasy and lo and behold, we have robots building practically everything nowadays. Why? Because the idea was sound and it only needed execution. Such is the case with Holodecks and Replicators.
