Im rereading Knife of Dreams, and this is bothering me. Every single woman in this series, is a fucking bitch. Like more than is necessary. Makes me wonder what was going on in Jordans head while writing. Ah well, maybe in the end, all those bitches will get some decent dick and calm the fuck down. Of course, its going to be three more years till the end, but I digress....

The military had a big place in his life. What do you expect? Have you met some of the women that are into the military?

I thought when he was in the military, it was before women were allowed. He was kinda old. Maybe his wife made him think like that. Im still pissed I have to wait three fucking years until a story Ive been reading for like ten years is going to be finished. Better be worth it.

I loved that series when I was a teenager. It's a real shame he died.

She did help edit his works, so I'm sure she had something to do with it.

Great series.

The final book is due to come out relatively soon (and it's going to be like twice as long as most up until now) unless they pushed it back. And yeah, some of the women get incredibly, mind-bogglingly annoying at times.

Over-all, great story. You need serious dedication to reading to get through it in any short amount of time though.

Let's all be honest here - the series turned into a steaming pile of literary shit after the fifth book.

But the first five were pretty good, and the seventh wasn't that bad either. But seriously, crossroads of boredom was a record low point for fantasy literature.

Seriously, RJ probably didn't die from some rare blood disease after all, he just sat down and decided to read what he'd wrote so far. Poor bastard bored himself to death.

From what I understand, the final books is now being released as a series of three books. It was too big of an undertaking to publish in one volume.

I remember reading his books when they were first published, and you're right, eventually the series ran to complete shite. Over the years I couldn't believe it as he churned out one long hot steamer after another.

Death by boredom for sure.

I thought the second and third book were terribly boring, then it got good again. Needs more Rand though. Is anyone else hoping the Dark One wins? Teach them bitches a lesson in bitchery.

I know he isn't planning on killing rand, but if you ask me i think every central character with the exception of maybe one or two should die. He says there will be an epic battle - that's what happens in battles. people die. Unfortunately, despite being in the military himself, he doesn't seem to understand this. Maybe every single one of his main characters constantly wear spray-on arrow repellent?

That being said, The series will always hold a place on my bookshelf, if it weren't for the series, i'd never have been able to co-author horrible fanfiction for it, and would never have met my girlfriend. Still.... i find it hard to believe that i was writing fanfiction for this crap only 4 years ago.
