By popular demand this thread will now focus on Zombie related Movies or Books

World War Z

World War Z: An Oral History of the Zombie War (abbreviated WWZ) is a 2006 horror, post-apocalyptic novel by Max Brooks. World War Z is follow-up to his previous book, The Zombie Survival Guide (2003). Rather than a grand overview or a single perspective, World War Z is a collection of individual accounts in the form of interviews of the characters by the author. Brooks plays the role of an agent of the United Nations Postwar Commission who published the novel a decade after the Zombie War in this fictional future after the United Nations left out much of his work from the official report, as it chose to focus on the facts and figures of the war rather than the human aspects he included. The novel charts a decade-long war against zombies from the view point of many different people and nationalities. In addition, the personal accounts describe the changing religious, geo-political, and environmental aftermath of the Zombie War.

So, i just finished watching 28 Weeks later on cable and GOD i hate those bitches, i wanna go to my house etc. BULLSHIT.

Apart from that, it was entertaining.

So, here is the thought what will happen 28 Months later, will the whole world become infected or will it just stay the same?

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1322885/ <-- It seems they are going to make the third sequel after all.

EDIT: I will admit that it wasn't as great as the first one, but it was still good enough for a look :).

So, any thoughts on this, i mean i hope the movie would be epic or bearable but i don't think they will make it anyway. Also i didn't see the first one but the second movie convinced me to watch the first one anyway.

Resident Evil Series

Resident Evil:
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0120804/

Resident Evil: Apocalypse :
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0318627/

Resident Evil: Extinction:
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0432021/

Resident Evil: Degeneration:
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1174954/

Seen the three movies, the first one was fun but the rest were okay.

The series is pretty good, I think. Exhilarating, that's for sure. Though the little bastards having gone back to their house really pissed me off. Fools... I hear the third will take place in Moscow?

I love 28 Days Later (I might watch it tonight while drinking, now that you mention it), but 28 Weeks Later was unbearably stupid. It seems like they put all of their talent and energy into the opening sequence, told the cinematographer to get some cool, artsy shots here and there, and then just said "Fuck it." to making a smart, quality horror film.

They traded the awesome plotline about the father's survivor guilt in exchange for one of the stupidest stories possible.

Ugh, whenever I think about that movie I just get more and more pissed off. It's passable as entertainment, but it was a major disappointment as a follow-up to 28 Days Later, and even on its own merit it was full of really bad writing.

Loved 28 day later. 28 weeks later sucked in comparison.

28DL was a great movie, especially the last part with the soldiers. That made the movie in my opinion.

28WL was just your typical zombie movie, there was nothing different or new about it.

Apparently he wouldn't mind directing it either.

I think the franchise should just stop.

World War Z has my anticipation.

I've read it; but you've sparked my interest. It'll be interesting to hear voices to characters.

This is irrelevant, WWZ will shut the whole market down with it's awesomeness.

The audiobook of WWZ was brilliant. And now my goal in life is to see the scene where the tanks are firing on the crowds of zombies with KE rounds.

Fuck 28DL/WL, this thread is now about how fucking awesome WWZ is.

I liked the bit about the Holy Russian Empire at the end. Made me smile. Also, the internet nerd (4channer) becoming a samurai was pretty sweet.

I thought the best one was when they were in Hope, New Mexico and just slaughtering zombies.

I loved 28 days later. Still have to watch 28 weeks later, but I have low expectations for it. And I think I'll go order a copy of World War Z... it looks pretty awesome. :D

I listened to some of WWZ. The audiobook is really high quality, as they have different voice actors for all of the characters. It really brings everything to life.

A movie could be cool, I suppose...

Yes pretty much. Tanks on rapid-fire, and the zeds are still advancing unperturbed. That would be very unnerving.

My girlfriend read World War Z, says it's good but obvious it's not meant to be taken seriously.
At least I'm sure it's WWZ she's talking about.
She works in a book shop so it could be a similar book.

28 months later is a brilliant movie because it has the apocalyptical feel. All the moves that the US army make are realistic, the way the infected spread is believable and the soundtrack by MUSE makes this movie the most intense zombie movie ever. Personally I am fucking sick of b-grade zombie movies and 28ML shows how good this genre can be. It may have a plot that starts and finishes in the first 20 minutes, but zombie movies are about survival.

Yeah, I kind of liked the 28 days series over some of the older zombie movies,as it deals with something that is more likely to really happen, as in the virus. Thus it is more believable than something that is truly dead coming back to life and eating your brain.

Plus. I thought the kids were taken to paris Ygg and not to moscow.

I watched it online via a tiny screen so quality was shit, but it's a pretty neat movie. It was much more like the video games than the L/A movies were.
