I just rode my bike over 18 kilometers. Not my normal bike, a shitty bike that has an unbalanced tire, bad back brakes, and is only an 18 speed. Much of where I had to ride had no sidewalk, and was at the side of highways, basically. I did this in under an hour, literally riding as fast as I possible could the entire time. I am not normally a person who sweats when they exercise, but I was literally dripping sweat. I am surprised I didn't pass out. And after all the long grass I rode through, I went up a hill that was probably at a 30 degree incline. Hardest fucking bike ride I've ever done. What have you guys done that really challenged you?

30 degrees? That's it? Surely there must be more degrees!

30 degrees are a lot of degrees man. And yes, I know it's 30 degree. I'm fucking tired, if you didn't notice.
Wait, I didn't say degrees in my original post. What are you talking about?

Riding two-point for 3 hours straight on a crazy horse tends to wear a person out. Anyone who says horseback riding isn't exercise should try that one.

That's two-point if you were wondering.

And why the fuck were you bat-outta-helling on a bike?

I still do "gashes" I learned in high school football.

You SPRINT 10 yards and jog back, sprint 15yd jog back, sprint 20yd jog back, sprint 25yd jog back, and thats ONE. I do 5-6.

Also try going for a nice jog/sprints with an 85lb weighted vest and a parachute.

Hill climbs, up downs, 5min plank, heavy deadlifts.....etc

I hated those.. especially during the first 2 weeks of practice when I was out of shape. Didn't help that it was 95*+ outside and even warmer under that inch of foam and plastic.

Digging post-holes through rocky ground isn't a very fun task either.

Had to get home at a certain time, and went the wrong way for 40 minutes. So I had to do get home in 20 minutes, like 3 times the distance I biked in half an hour.

I'm so out of shape that I'm lucky if I can hold a 2-point for 3 strides. Acutally, it's really just my balance that's messed up. I could probably hold it for a while if that was better.

400meter sprints at 70 seconds, 1 minute rest between each lap, 20 times.

Love/hate relationship with the training involved with Cross Country running.

Train your core muscles and that gets easier. Try doing yoga, it's easy and it seriously helps, heaps.

Ah, I fucking hated those. We called 'em suicides. My old basketball coach was a sadistic fucker (played professionally and expected us all to be of a ridiculously high standard) and made us run suicides of 1/4, 1/2, 3/4 and the full length of a basketball court. And we had to sprint there and back, no jogging. So exhausting. Whoever came last had to run back and forth all session instead of playing basketball or doing drill exercises.

Worst for me was either two hours cross-country running (I absolutely detest endurance exercise) or two hours of rotation squash over 4 courts. If you win a game you stay on the court and your opponent moves on to the next one and if you lose you move on to the next one. Change over every 6-7 minutes and alternate serves, no breaks. Anybody who's ever played squash against good opponents will know how knackering two hours of the sport is.

I used to fool around with a girl who was an avid rider, she was wild in bed. haha. I like it when a girl can actually last on top for a bit, she got crazy on top. hahah. Damn. i havn't been laid in two weeks :(

Tried running with a weighted vest.

Back story:

I run in the mornings before I go to work. That was the first and only time I ran with a weighted vest.

Story:

Left my apartment at the usual time I leave to go out running. Planned to run an out and back course so I can keep track of my mileage more carefully. By the time I hit the out point and started turning back, I check my watch and I'm 5 minutes away from the time I usually leave for work. It took me 40 minutes to get to that point. I'm tired and I was not willing to just discard a weighted vest that I had just bought the night prior. Exhausted, out of breath, and soaked with sweat I ran all the way back and got a negative split.

18 km is nothing really, specially if it's on the street. Crappy bike? The unbalanced tyre isn't affecting you much, and it's not like a bad brake was going to make you any slower or like you needed more gears.
"Much of where I had to ride had no sidewalk, and was at the side of highways, basically." You don't watch much espn, do you?
Actually, you aren't even supposed to ride your bike on the sidewalk.

As for your 30 degrees, a lot of hills that seem super steep have only a 14 degree gradient.

Something that really challenged me? I rode 100km XC a day last summer for 3 days. I was only going to do it for one day, so I pretty much wore myself out the first day. The third day I couldn't take it any more, as I had epically bonked, but had no choice but to keep riding with the group. I stayed home for almost an entire week after that.

I went from temporarily riding an old, cheap and damaged mountain bike with a slightly bent wheel (road and grass, no trails) to riding a pretty decent and not inexpensive MTB, and it made a pretty big difference to me. Far less effort riding a decent bike. 100km cross-country a day sounds absolutely vicious though, what were you riding?

This isn't the same as things that absolutely exhaust you, but some gymnastic progressions and other bodyweight-balance exercised are also ridiculously hard. It's absolutely impossible for me to hold some of them for more than ten seconds, even if my life depended on it. Incredibly stressing on the muscles.

A lot of it wasn't, it was lots of grass and sandy paths. And 18km is not nothing.

More gears wouldn't have hurt. The unbalanced tire was affecting me, it was not a smooth ride. And if the brake broke, I would have no way of stopping when I'm going top speed, which isn't good, because I don't enjoy getting hit by cars.

Side of highways being rocks. I had no lights on the piece of shit bike, so I didn't want to ride where I would get hit by a car.

It was an estimate.

Shuttles in half pads- that is, no shoulder pads, but you keep the pants on.
Ya, American Football. During two a days, we would practice in the morning, and here in Houston, summer mornings are notoriously humid. It was up around 75 to 80 percent I think on this particular day, and was at least 95 degrees. End of the first practice, and we ended up doing 16 of these 100 yard sprints down and back in wet, soggy grass. I threw up twice, it was gut wrenching.
