Yeah I'm a complete moron with this kinda shit but... I have a Citroen Saxo 1.4 '00 model. It's an ugly ass car and currently it only has these ugly ass rims that you usually apply... I don't even know what you call it, these plastic things you put on the rims, for better looks? English isn't my first language, but whatever, currently I have no such thingamajigs so they're just ugly dirty looking rims currently.

But then I came across these: linky (http://www.sel.fo/Showitem.aspx?Id=16133). They're 13", they're goodlooking, very cheap and they come with new tires. The seller thinks there's 8,5 cm between the holes in the rims.

So here's the stupid question. Do these things have to be absolute on cars? I think my car currently has 7,5cm between the holes. Does that mean I can only get rims which have just those measurements?

Your lug pattern/size does have to be exactly the same, otherwise the wheel won't fit.

You can buy these little plastic devices that you can bolt onto the wheel hub to measure what size wheel and tire will fit.

Buy said plastic device, do an accurate measurement of something easy for him to measure as well, then ask him for another reading. If he just thinks it's 8,5 cm, there's a fair chance he estimated that and it's completely possible that it could be 7,5.

Those plastic things are called hubcaps btw.

Thanks a bunch guys. I'll see if I can get some more precise measurements from him :)

Seconded.

I think the PCD (stud pattern) of your Saxo is 4x108. That's four studs spaced in a circle of 108mm diameter. Earlier Saxos were 3x98 (3 studs by 98mm).

You'll also need to know the offset. Saxos are FWD so the offset will be small, like ET15 or ET20.

Just go into anywhere that sells alloy wheels and they'll tell you what wheels will fit.

You can also measure from the center of a bolt to the center of the next bolt, you know.

Can you find out what car they were originally fitted to?
