black and white kitten
romping, bopping 'cross the floor--
dit dit dit dit dit.

(Author's note--I have a new crop of kittens in the cabin and one of the black and white ones, named Zorro, is the most intrepid--first out of the nest box, first to venture out the door onto the porch. I saw him just bopping along the floor this morning and the above just popped into my head, dits and all--with some re-writing after the fact.)

This one is also based on a real event. . . .

Hahaha. This is funny because I JUST recently saw your thread in Flora and Fauna and saw your cats. They're really cute, and I love cats so that works out.

One thing I've always loved about haiku is how with such few words it can paint such a vivid picture. At first I didn't get the dit part. But then I just saw this image of a little kitten bouncing around on a tile floor, and just smiling and playing around it, haha. This has a very playful feel to it. I quite liked it, haha.

Hmm, would anyone be interesting in making a haiku thread?

Right now I have a total of around fifteen kittens (from three different litters) that I am trying to find a new homes for. Mostly Siamese, one ginger, and a super-cute black and white guy we named Adolf, because the black markings look like a little Hitler 'stache.

He would be perfect for JFLC and other fans of Hitler--not that I would trust any of them to take proper care of it.

Greyfox, the gray on your chin
Made something on me grow.
I got a bit of a fright
But regardless let it flow.

Now Dear Grey, we are on
A first name basis here,
Let me count the ways
For which I call you dear.

You are the snake man,
Having doused me in your
Venom. Lick me clean
Read me shaman lore.

You didn't return my calls,
Ignored every message I sent.
So now I built a doll in the image
of you, but still I sit here bent......

^Dude, that's pretty good--I suggest you put it in a thread all it's own.

Um, a little creepy in spots, but still. . . .

This redeems your faggotry and blatant lying a little bit. People with cats who can take care of them are good people. You have received a little bit of my respect.
