Any fellow filmmakers here? What have you guys done as far as film or what do you mostly do? Shorts, features, music vids, etc?
Right now I'm trying to get into the film program at my university (not a major one like NYU or UCLA :( ) and hope to get some funding for some shorts I have in mind. Any of you guys got anything you'd like to share?

Back in high-school I was a video editor. I know AVID, and Adobe Premiere Pro. I was even offered an internship with a local news station in high school! I haven't done any of that stuff in a while simply because AVID doesn't work with Window's Vista.
I've made quite a few short videos, but I'm more of an editor than a story writer. I had some friends who went off to film making school, and they are studying special effects. These are some of the most talented people I've ever met in my life, and we've made a few short films together.
If I can dig any of it up I'll post it.
Edit: I'm uploading the vids now, and I'll post them when I get home from work!

My freshmen year of high school I took a video production course. It was pretty fun, even though I don't plan to do that after high school. We learned all the basics, my final project was a 20 minute stoner comedy movie about finding "The Ultimate Coffee" since we were all coffee addicts at the time. :p

Same here. I am currently still in my media tech class. It's supposedly the best in the country. www.bisdtv.com
I know Apple Final Cut Pro 6, Motion, Soundtrack, Garageband, a few more. Most likely getting my Apple Certification in a couple weeks before school ends. We have also done 3 newscasts, so I know generally how the news stations operate. We use DVX, GL1/GL2s, and a Sony XDcam, which costs like $15,000 or something.
As for short films, I have done a documentary, some how-to videos (that were dumb), and other little things. We are currently working on a major project for the end of the year.
Here is the documentary I did. The voice over is horrible, I'll admit. It also needed no actual video shooting, how the fuck would I get Danny Carey to do an interview?! :(
Watch it in HQ.

Nice, man! Voice was a little boring, though :p
Here's a music vid I did in one evening with only me and my friend as an actor. It's kinda bad, but I thought it turned out pretty much like I wanted.

Thanks, I know, my voice is not good for narrating.
To your music video, +1 for it being by Shpongle. They just became my favorite band recently. I didn't really understand what was going on in the video until the end though. All the video shooting was good. What camera did you shoot with?

In taking a hiatus from studying mass media production at MO State with an emphasis in video. I'm still a few semesters away from my Bachelor's. Hopefully if I can pull things together financially I'll be able to finish in the next couple years.
I've got a GL1. As far as production goes, I haven't done much I'm proud of. I'm a complete perfectionist, and most of the projects I've done have been in groups with dipshits who have no business directing. The most fun I've had was directing 2 student films for a highschool drama class short film competition. My team won it twice in a row. :)
As far as current projects, a friend and I are getting ready to produce a new online news show. Our goal is a 10-20 minute episode 5 days a week, delivering the day's news, adding our own vulgar and obscene humor. We don't want to be anything like the Daily Show. The humor is going to be vulgar, deranged, and perverse; not satirical. The news is going to be called, literally, "The Fucking News" with a tagline of something like "Educate yourself. Watch The Fucking News every now and then." We're still working on the details.

Really? I thought it was pretty clear what was happening. He finds a strange object in the woods, researches online, finds out it's possibly an Alien thing, then at the end has a "Close Encounters" esque encounter with something and when he wakes up it's gone.
