I checked "other," as I espouse the Perennial Philosophy, the spiritual basis of all the world's great religions (although Christianity kinda went astray, thanks largely to the likes ofMartin Luther, the Borgia popes, John Wesley, the Puritans and so forth).

I chose "Non Religious" as I am neither atheist or religious. More spirtual really.

I chose Agnostic. I'm open to the idea of some higher power, but I don't think I'll believe it until I see it.

Atheist... Atheistic existentialism would describe my views fairly accurately.

Agnostic simply because I still have a lot more to learn. It's a little hard for me to entirely deny the existence of a god (whether it be mono or poly) since all of my family are Christians, but I definitely see evolution and the big bang as extremely logical. But I still have a long way to go on this spiritual journey.

I am an atheist. I enjoy reading myths and old stories for entertainment value, but see it only as fiction. I'm happy for the superstitious though, because I know their beliefs help them cope with life, which inadvertently makes my life much much easier.
The main problem I have with religion is when these "personal beliefs" directly effect our law and government. Stem cell research is the biggest issue though, can you beleive these mindless fucks claim to be "pro-life"?????

Religion is the sigh of the oppressed creature, the heart of a heartless world, and the soul of soulless conditions. It is the opium of the people.
As anti-religious as I am, I'm not quick to rule out the yet unproven possibility of a greater power, although I firmly believe that the decisions made are the individuals responsibility, not as a result of some "greater plan".

I'd like to point out that atheism should not be included on the list, as it is not a religion. If atheism is a religion, then not collecting baseball cards is a hobby.

Non-Religous Gnostic.
Whilst im very concerned with spirituality i am not really very concerned with Dharma (Gods orders); and i dont think the truth of God's existence is something i can make an critical evaluation on at this point in my life.
Although im very much interested in Better Spirituality Through Chemistry :)
( i really think ultimately recreational/non-experimental drug use will not do any good unless you have the right motives and therefore the right outcomes).
For instance i smoke weed because im a more creative person when im high so im able to come up with ideas relating to areas that interest me (i,e. Anthropology, Spirituality). And its also fun.

That's probably the funniest thing I've read on Zoklet so far. But it's a little bit different because atheism is the belief in nothing pretty much but then there is more than just collecting baseball cards for a hobby so not exactly a foolproof metaphor, but still funny nonetheless.

But I do love Jesus and God (My understandings of them anyway), and I do aspire to love and understand everyone else.

I put other. Technically I guess Im an atheist, but I dont like how you grouped it in with the other religions. Atheism is a religion like not playing football is a sport.

I don't believe in anything outside of the physical world. I won't rule out its possible existence, but anything outside the frame of reality has no effect on me

In this poll we have:
Atheist
Agnostic
Non-religious
Non-religious is redundant. I am wondering how a person can be non-religious without falling into either catagory or one of the numerous sub catagories of atheist or agnostic.
Any explanation?
