What's the most fucked up novel you've ever read? Why? I'm looking for a good book to read when I'm done with the series I'm reading now. Help me out.

A Clockwork Orange possibly. The beginning is just filled with ultra-violence, rape, and drug use.

Alot of Richard Laymon's messed up in a B-movie slasher way.

If you fancy somehting a bit grittier you can't really go wrong with a bit of Chuck Palanhuik or Bukowski.

Love this trilogy. Check out Schrodinger's Cat trilogy too - also by Robert Anton Wilson.

Gadsby is just odd. Writing a book without the letter "e" is quite the accomplishment.

I found it to be horribly overrated and mediocre at best :|

Might be a little high-school for you, but Perks of Being a Wallflower is pretty fucking weird.

What's Slaughter House Five?

A novel by Kurt Vonnegut detailing the experience of a soldier in WW2 who time travels and shit. I had to read it recently for English class. It's an amazingly well written book once you get into it, and used to the irregular vocabulary and writing style.

That's neat! I like books like that. One of my favorite english class book assignments though was Kindred by Octavia Buttler. It's written about a modern day black woman who travels back in time (multiple times) to the slave era and has to protect her blood line. Basically she has to make sure her great great (et cetera...) grandmother is born like she's supposed to. It's really good.

Er...well it's basically about these libertines who have this castle and they fill it up with young children and other prisoners and have these orgies that get progressively more fucked up and disgusting and in the end I think they rape and kill them all in really vile ways...you said you wanted fucked up, though.
