View Full Version : Good, Cheap Sunglasses
Pretty self-explanatory I guess. I walked by a Ray-Bans rack at this clothing store and saw that they were all 100-200 bucks. I'm looking for something more in the "under 20" range. Do they make non-tacky, non-flimsy sunglasses for that much? Any brands or store suggestions (I'm in Canada)?

Check out this site every now and again. www.Whiskeymilitia.com
They have one item at a time until it is sold, they have name brand sunglasses on there all the time for around $20. It's a pretty sick site overall.
eBay. Who gives a fuck if you get fakes, they're sunglasses for fuck sake.
I did get some genuine prada ones from eBay. There's quiet a few genuine ones going there at the moment, but they're quiet expensive, I only bought them because I can afford to. You may as well get fake ones because if they get stepped on, knocked off, bent or what ever, then atleast you didn't pay too much for them. They pretty much serve the same purpose and look good as well.
You're a nigger, I'm actually a little surprised you didn't steal a pair.
Head down to a Farmer's Market and you can usually buy two half decent pairs for $10.

IMO cheap sunglasses are the only way to go. I will never fucking ever pay more than $20 for a pair of sunglasses. Why? Because history has proven that one night, you're gonna get smashed and fucking lose them or break them or get them stolen. I don't even know how many pairs I've gone through, but not one cost me more than thirty dollars.
E: Oh yeah, where to get them. I usually just look for those spinning racks full of cheap ones or rip-offs they have in like every big store and either steal them or find the cheapest ones that don't look retarded.
Grocery stores and drug stores usually have a selection of affordable sunglasses that are pretty high quality. Every once in a while you can find a great looking pair. I paid about $20 for the pair I have now and I love them.

approves.
If you're buying them to look cool, fine, go for the cheap/fake ones.
If you're buying them for practical purposes, I would pay a bit more, for the sake of the lenses more than anything. If you're wearing them for anything that requires visual accuracy, any distortion whatsoever is going to piss you off royally.

That's true. For fishing and shit a nice pair with polarized lenses go a long way. But I still haven't ever bought myself a nice pair of fishing sunglasses, just social glasses I can lose or smash when drunk,
