If I had some, would I have to have morphine for it to be of any use? Ive read some procedures about heating morphine in solution, then adding AA to get diacytlemorphine, But if I replace the morphine, due to non-accessibility, with a -codone, or codeine would there be a nice result?

Codeine can also easily be demethylated to morphine. I suggest you check around, this topic has been well covered, both here and on Totse. I'm not sure I quite understand the question though, are you asking if putting an acetyl group on various opiates will give you a good product? If so, then the answer is usually yes. Acetylated opiates are often quite active.

No I know I can't make AA, Im just wondering what I can do with it, without morphine.
Ive been reading a lot about converting codeine to morphine. It might be the best route

Smells fishy to me. AA is schedule II precursor, if I recall correctly. I wouldn't really do it.
