On a somewhat unrelated note, I've always wondered if it was possible to use totse or zoklet as a way to get a press pass and go to an anime convention and write an article about it. Might be able to get into some places that other people don't get to see.

Dunno though. I always had kind of a weird idear of making totse into a kind of online magazine or something. Instead of just bomb recipes and articles on why you can't trust your goverment we could also add things like video game reviews or odd slice-of-life type pieces. Now that totse's gone, maybe the zoklet admins would be more open to new things than Mr. Hunter ever was.

Maybe I could run that by Zok someday...

Most cons will usually have a large dealer room with people selling all sorts of stuff. Toys, comics, DVD's, t-shirts...almost any sort of collectible a scifi/anime/comic geek could want.

It's not guaranteed, but it's very likely that you'll find what you're looking for. :)

Dealer room stuff always seems a bit too expensive to me though.

You have to envy any old, fat guy who can dress up in a Sailor Moon costume. When a man dresses like that, you know he's not afraid of anything.

ahh, that. Oh; I've seen Sailor Bubba at ACEN. I was able to get some pictures as well. the first batch is shitty and I accidentally deleted a bunch of them. the second batch is somewhat better but mainly taken at the last day. both were with a cheap digital camera I got saturday

at ACEN I saw this girl who was from Liverpool, she said she met some americans on one of those 'post your im/aim/msn threads' on /b/; and they talked with each other on im and on deviantart. Interesting as this dude I knew IRL from a local anime club before ACEN for a few months said he met his girlfriend via a thread on posting your phone number on /b/. LOL.
