Yes, I have decided what I want to do with my life... well not exactly, but I have figured out what sector I want to work in--adventure tourism.

Now from there, I can do anything from hiking guide to nature photographer to heli-ski (snowboard) guide to rock-climbing instructor to rescue worker.. the list goes on and on. I can't believe it took me so fucking long to figure out that this is exactly what I want to do.

So now I guess it's just a matter of finding what school I want to go to. Here are a few I've found in BC:

TRU, Kamloops: http://www.tru.ca/tourism/adventure.html
Sooke, Vancouver Island: http://www.sookeadventureschool.com/
Northern Lights College: http://www.nlc.bc.ca/campuses.atlin.programs.adventuretourism.php

I'm leaning towards to TRU in Kamloops because it seems like it offers the most of the three courses, and I have a lot of friends living in the 'Loops.

Anyone know of anyone that has done this? Anyone agree that it would offer the sickest 'jobs' in the world?

I'm seriously fucking ecstatic that I've figured this shit out. Discuss. :)

I've gone to TRU, it's a good school. And I know that the local ski mountain, Sun Peaks, is usually looking for ski/snowboard instructors. I think Kamloops would be the way to go.
Congrats on figuring out what you want to do with your life...I'm still figuring out mine.

I actually haven't figured much out at all, nor have I been accepted.

Apparently it's a hard course to get into and I applied late as fuck. Next year is probably far more realistic.
