I have two bad ideas, one has already been mentioned on &t so dont flame me for that, and the other is of my own.

The first idea is stuffing phone booth and or vending machine change slots with tissues or some other sort of paper or something that can be removed easily. Pretty much you stuff it up where nobody can get to it, then come back a few days later to reap your reward of the change all the people were supposed to get.

The second one is raiding wishing wells , the wells that people throw change into and make a wish. I fiugre you could get quite a bit of change from one of these if you were to clear it out, probally more than you could haul off in one load. Im currently pondering the legality of it, I doubt you could just raid one of these un noticed because there usually in populated areas and if not theres probally not much in them.

actually on a more serious note...you could rob a bank.

I live in Australia, and I do some shit that gets me a lot of coins. Once i have like 500$ worth of coins, I go to the bank and use the automatic coin counter thingo and deposit them.

The thing is, every time I've done this so far, their machine has filled up, and i've had to wait like 20 minutes for them to come out, open the machine and take the coins out.

This one time, this receipt thing came out when they were done, and they didn't take it. I read it and it said that they'd just taken out $10,000.

So anyway, they just come out and open the machine in public (no guards or anything around) and take out $10,000.

So if you have a few friends who can help you and run away carrying shitlodes of coins...

1) Go deposit heaps of coins
2) When it fills up call one of the workers
3) When they open it, your friend comes in with a mask and gun, and takes the coins.
4) ?
5) Profit.

Im seeing some real hard times at the moment, just pondering ideas to get me a nice fat sack of weed until i get myself a new job. Its not like i really think i could be a carear crimminal off this shit.

And does anyone know about the legailty of the wishing wells, i dont really think that a 100 square foot well filled 2 inches high with mixed change couldnt yeild at least a few hundred dollars.

Me and some people stole some change once it was fucking bullshit we spent so long counting it and sorting it that by the time we realized we didn't even have enough for a 15 case and just bought weed instead. Bank was closed, ended up just giving dealer the change, he was like what the fuck is wrong with you kids and shorted us on the weed.

The change stuffing idea is very common. The most common way is to find a payphone/vending machine/whatever, bring something like a teaspoon and some tissues. Stuff the tissues up the change slot, then poke them as far as possible up with the spoon, but not too far.. Just far enough so that your fingers can't reach them.

Now, you can't leave it up there for too long, because someone will eventually come along, and ring up the phone company because they didn't get 25 cents back. So I wouldn't advise leaving it in for more than 48 hours..

So when you want to collect the change, come back with a lighter, and light the tissue paper. It'll burn up quickly, but the rest of the change machine is made up of metal and plastic, so you don't need to worry about it catching alight.

Now, I'm not sure about the legality of stealing from the wishing fountains, but I would say it's about the same as taking from the change slot, maybe slightly worse.

when i was 16 i used to get the tops of coke cans to jam up the phone boxes in the mall, there was 12 in total plus another 4 just around the corner, i would do that every night around 3 am (it was a small town so no one was out and about) and carry a small plastic bucket with me, each night i would pull in roughly 40 bucks worth of change which i would save till the end of the week and buy 2 ounces of weed for 400 bucks and turn it into 800, even the smallest amounts can turn a good profit.

The best haul of loose change would be theme parks i dont know about over in america but in australia we have a ride called the wipe out which twists and turns u upside down throwing copious amounts of change into the water below, just after closing time those rides are vacant no one around and still have not had the money removed by the cleaners if u can get in befor them theres sometimes close to 200 bucks of change and the odd 50 and 20 dollar notes

recently a group of uni students got done for parking meters, it paid for their uni fees and them some, they stole over 800,000 dollars worth of 1 and 2 dollar coins, some news shows say it was closer to 2 million dollars but they only got charged with the 800k

another small change story i heard from a friend who stole a seeing eye dog donation box and he would chain it up in certain places with high traffic during the day and take it home at night, he was getting roughly 50 dollars a day passive income. he ended up with 5 of these dog donation boxes chained to poles and shit around town.

how would you get a flame in there if the papers already in there quite deep?
i mean, the hole itself is quite small, and the little door opens inwards, which blocks the change chute.

I was at an arcade and they had machines where you drop coins in (20P) and the machine throws them up and it bpushes them forward you know the onesyou drop coins in and there is a slider and the coin falls in andthe slider pushes the coin into the other coins and it pushes them forward and then they fall down anyway I was thinking if you put a towel in the coin slot of the machine and then drilled a hole with a hand cranked drill through the 4 mm plastic glass stuff you could stick a skewer in and push loads of coins down and as 20 pence peices are the second smallest there are you could make quite a bit out of not many coins and maybe you could stick loads of chewing gum all over the machine and cover your hole with a piece and come back and do it every week.

this, I never understood this I thought the only way it could be done is if you stuck some tisue in the change slot low under where the door opens then shut the door and used some bent paper clips to push it up then repeated over and over but if it collects too much change the door wouldnt open.
