So my mom was looking around today for opium pods to decorate around the house with. Do you think I could find them at a place called plej's? Its like a household store that sells drapes and shit. Or more likely some kind of flower shop?

Or more likely some kind of flower shop?

This is where I would go to find such things, garden centres which have a dried/cut flower section may also stock dried poppy heads. Then there's always Ebay (http://shop.ebay.com/items/_W0QQ_nkwZdriedQ20poppyQ20podsQQ_armrsZ1QQ_fromZR4 0QQ_mdoZ)... *splutter*... shit they're expensive!

Ahem, anyway I hope your search goes well.

tell "your mom" they make a lovely physically addicting tea and unless you want to end up being a junky that she had better not "decorate the house" with them.

But if she is actually going to decorate the house, ebay or http://www.poppystore.com/poppy.html in the USA or Canada or http://poppypods.co.uk/ for the UK is where to find them

You should be able to find them at any well stocked garden center as they're a common ornamental plant.

If I do find them, what are the chances that they are untreated? If they're treated are they still useable?

I would think the ones at that household store would be treated. I don't know about flower shops.

I wouldn't make tea from treated pods. You'll probably end up puking your guts out.

The best way is probably just to get them from ebay. There are tons of people selling them on there.
