This takes the idea of "recreational" drugs and takes it to a whole new level. Using psychotropic/psychedelic hallucinogenics to boost insight power is a good idea (if you know what the fuck you're doing), and literally discovering the secret of life while doing so is so cliche sounding that it was almost bound to happen.
