One Soldier's War by Arkady Babchenko.

Probably the best book I've read in a long time. It's a true story about an 18 year old Russian conscription soldier and the war in Chechnya. Very brutal and well written.

Considering how he involved he was, and how many of his comrades die beside him, he keeps a very neutral tone through out the book.

I couldn't suggest another book more than this one.

Any other great war books? (True stories.)

Yeah, I've read One Soldier's War. I didn't hesistate to read it from the enemy's perspective. It was a good read, objectively.
I must say it again in this thread, before you get other ideas in your head, outside of fairytales Russians are pussies.

Which author are you talking about.

I have seen Jarhead the movie. I'm thinking about reading the book. And Inside Delta Force looks good too, thanks.
