I was thinking about buying this game. I've read some reviews. The single player seems short, but fun. The multi-player sounds like it would be a lot of fun as well.
Has anyone played this yet?
I'll most likely be buying it for PC, if I do.

It plays exactly like Star Wars: Battlefront, because its made by the same developer. The demo seems rather one-sided, with favoritism towards the good side. And everyone spams the fucking archers / mages.

Download the demo and see what you think.

I did download the demo. I thought it was fun, for what it was. I was disappointed that it was only the good side. But there is a trailer titled "It's Good to be Bad" which emphasizes the bad side, which makes it look pretty sweet. I really wish that the single player was longer because that was one of my favorite parts about SW:BF. The multilayer is fun, but the GameSpy servers always seem to be laggy.

I have it for 360.

It is a lot like SW Battlefront 2, because of the "hero" playing ability.

It is incredibly short, you have to beat the good side to unlock the evil side (Called Rise of Sauron). It shows what happens if Frodo did not destroy the ring. You get to play as uruk-hai, the balrog, sauron, sauroman, ride an oliphaunt, play as an Ent, etc.

I found it a lot of fun, online is pretty good, and one side doesn't seem favored over the other.

Are there actually enough people playing though?

I've never had trouble finding a full game (16 human players).

Are there different difficulty modes for the single player? Like after playing easy? medium, would it be worth it to replay on the hard mode?

I'll double check next time I play, but I believe there are four difficulties (at least 3 + one unlockable I believe).

I hate my memory, I can't watch a TV show or play a game through again without remembering the entire thing and finding it dreadfully boring.

That being said, you will hate the controls of the oliphaunt (sp?), balrog, ents, and other creatures of that stature.

I hear you on the memory thing, yet we are different. I remember stuff really well, but I can enjoy it a second or third time over. With video games, it isn't bad, as long as it's harder or more challenging.

There are a select few I could replay... but yeah, it sucks.

If you're anything like me you'll really enjoy the Rise of Sauron. In online games, I've never been good, only evil (you select at the start but it fills up so fast)
