Ruderalis?

Has anyone else heard of Cannibis Ruderalis? Apparently it grows roadside in Siberia or something like that... I mean we all know about indica and sativa, but ruderalis? Anyone smoked this? Sounds weird to be honest...:confused:

Most people claim it lacks the active cannabinoids present in indica and sativa, and is thus useless to cultivate or consume.

I'm willing to bet there's different ones, and with a bit of selective genetics, as has been done with indica and sativa, you could, over time, breed a stronger and more useful form. Definitely might be useful on the semi synthetic cannabinoid scene, if there's differing cannabinoids, one could run an extraction, purify, and either alter to a more active form, or work from there :)

Example of this being the Californian poppy doesn't contain classic opiates, but instead fuck loads of thebaine. Thebaine being one of the easiest & most direct precursors to oxycodone.

Isn't Ruderalis just like weed which grows wild and is pretty shitty?

If I remember correctly there is some in the auto-flowering strains like lowryder.

it is just wild weed that evolved differently. its short and stalky to fight the cold and is autoflowering because theres no light cycle in its natural growing region. yeah lowrider has some in it. it has thc but nowhere near enough to be worth smoking on its own and i heard it tastes like shit, but you can obviously hybridize it and get decent plants.

Yeah, Lowryder is a Ruderalis hybrid, so is a strain called Mighty Mite. This article should answer any questions you have about it.
