Okay, well a couple nights ago my apartment on the 3rd floor got broken into. I'm almost positive it's the neighbors(we've had problems with them before.. and they were watching my brother before he left that night.. not to mention it takes a lot of balls to scale balconeys to the third floor HOPING that no one is home. Anyways, I obviously don't have any proof that it's my neighbors, and I normally would just go out and buy new things (xbox360, and hd tv) but the fuckers stole my shisha pipe. I'm a crazy hookah fanatic, and that very pipe was picked out from Dubai last summer when I went for a couple weeks.. so I'm prrretty choked. Anyways, why I'm saying this on this forum is because yesterday my brother got an email saying that his something had been bought on his xbox(obviously the guy plugged it in and bought something)... now is there a way to use this purchase as a trace to their location...or isp or something.

Sorry this is kind of incoherent I'm just pretty rattled still.

It can only be traced if you have a court order demanding microsoft reveal where yoru xbox live user name last logged in, which will reveal the ip address.

Then you'd need to supuna the ISP to get their address.

This isn't quite the advice you're looking for, but if you really think you know who did it, you could always somehow gain entrance to where they live and see if they have your stuff.

This is how legal trouble gets complicated, though.

Go to the neighbor's house with a gun and if you see someone playing your xbox shoot em in the head.

The easiest way would be to wait until your neighbors aren't home, and look through their windows. If possible.. Otherwise break in, just try not to leave a trace.

borrow or buy an xbox controller. walk near your neighbors doors and or windows and hold the center button that turns on the xbox. if it connects to the xbox/turns it on, then obviously they have an xbox inside the house.

this will work perfectly unless
1. your xbox is our of range
2. you're actually talking about an xbox and not an xbox360
3. you're a bitch and dont want to face the fact that they stole your xbox
4. someone near you has an xbox

if it does connect, try to locate where it is by walking in and out of range and plotting where those points are.

you could also just make your way into their place and see if its their.
you could always call the cops though bwahahaha

did they kick your door in or what? I would just rob their place.

Even if they didn't rob your place, rob their place. They're being problematic right? Nothing takes the wind out of people's sails like invading their home and pillaging it. Remember to steal back all of your stuff, along with some of their stuff. If they did actually steal your stuff, bondo their locks shut after you leave, and unplug the fridge. Nothing says revenge like a house full of rotten food

This.

That'd be a epic win.

Fail. This won't work at all. You need to sync 360 controllers to the actual xbox, so it would work if the OP still had one of his original controllers, but he'd need to see the actual xbox turn on, cause the controller will turn on regardless.

Yup, a random controller won't just turn on any xbox that's in range of it. You need to sync that shit first.
