Im off to Kenya mid August for 4 weeks (with day stops in dubai each way :) )

I'll be staying with like a tribe/ small close nit village thing, not any touristy area. . .

I've started getting my jabs but i would really like to know if a moscito(sp) bites someone with HIV then bit me could i get it? i asked a nurse when i went for my last jab but she couldnt answer :/ I'll be miles away from water and i plan to dowse myself in repellant so hopefully wont get bitten anyway but does anybody know for certain if its possible?

Well even if you can catch it i'd still go, its hard to explain what im doing. . . its not volunteer work but at the same time i will be doing volunteer work:rolleyes:

Like im going to experience another culture through their eyes sort of thing.
I will help with building work and ill help out at the local school, i'll go on safari and hopefully to Kilamanjaro but at night i'll be sleeping in a hut in the middle of nowhere :D

Google it. IIRC, HIV won't survive long in a mosquito or outside of the human body in general. Malaria on the other hand is a very real concern...get vaccinated.
