Hey, been fucking around with making my own techno music for a little bit now and finally decided to put some up on a myspace. If anyone is interested you should check it out at http://www.myspace.com/angelicpsychedelic I guess I'm just looking for some feedback on it. Lemme know what you guys think.

I like it. Especially free your mind has a fast pace. It feels a little "empty" some parts don't but a lot of it is just the beats and nothing else, get into the song faster.

How are you making the songs? I failed completely at fruity loops

Thanks man. Yea I'm trying to get better at making my songs have a fuller sound and add more depth. But yea I use Fruity Loops. I watched a tutorial on it once that really helped me learn the basic things and then just figured out some on my own. If you like making music then you should definitely mess around some more with FL. But yea, it's good to hear some feedback on my shit just so I know I'm going in the reignt direction.

I really liked enlightened bullshit too, it had a kind of creepy/electronic sound to it. Just keep making them they can only get better. Is there a way to download them?

Thanks man, that's what I was trying to go for. I just started learning piano a few months ago and it's been helping me with writing incase you're into, because piano definitely helps you a lot with understanding music. But as far as downloading it goes I'll enable it so anyone can do that. Just check back on it and it should work.

EDIT: Shit, I guess you have to be logged into myspace to download the songs, that's really shitty. Well what I'll end up doing when I get at least one or two more songs done and add some other shaight to the current songs I'll probably throw em onto some site to download them or torrent it as a mini album/EP or something. I'll let you guys know when that happens.

That was fucking terrible.
Everything has been done right and it all works, but it just generally sounds shit.
Would you expect Paul Oakenfold to play that?

Haha, believe me, I know sure as hell that there is no way my shit can be compared to some of the masters of the style. But I mean shit, everyones gotta start somewhere. Actually though, some of the most negative criticism can also be the most helpful, so what you said is actually a good thing to think about. Oh well, back to the books.

Okay, constructive criticism - maybe look into how trance / techno songs are set out.. like how the parts of the song work, and taking different sounds and using them to build up to the kick off. Makes it more euphoric.

Thanks for the advice. Yea I love techno and it's subgenres a lot because of it's complexity and just how everything seems to mesh together so nicely. But that's actually a pretty good idea that I haven't actually worried about that much. I'm probably gonna end up taking some of the stuff I've done that I like and building on them until it's exactly what I was going for. Thanks again for the responses/advice.
