So I know most Totseians probably don't like any kind of gardening besides growing pot or mushrooms, but I recently started a garden and would appreciate any kind of input or advice...feel free to post your own garden pictures and get advice and shit.
So far I have 4 Tomato plants, 3 Jalepeno, 2 Artichoke, a grip of Radish, a few Carrot, and three different kinds of melon, Water, Honeydew, and Cantalope!
My biggest problem so far is making sure this ugly ass crabgrass doesn't come back after I till the soil and take it out. We'll see though. Once I start getting some real fruit from them I'll take some more pictures. :bluecool::D:bluecool:
Here first are the Jalepeno, 1 Tomato, and the Radishes/Carrot:

Here's the main Tomatoes:

And here are the three Melons:

And for good measure, here's my cat, Bobo J. Hobo, he's awesome:

If anyone has any advice I'd love to hear it. I planted all of them in potting soil adding fertilizer and steer manure. So far the plants are doing good.....

Looking good, how long have they been growing for?
It really wouldn't be worth taking a picture of my garden as it's just grass and paving at the moment :p

what country are you in, no strawberry plants?
I'd like a few grape vines, they're quite hard to grow here though:(

Just about 2 weeks. I'm thinking about adding potato's and onions, my favorite vegetables. I wanna know what grows in winter though...
I'm in California and actually strawberries and grapes sound like a great idea. I'll look into it and get back to you.

I don't eat any of that stuff so I'd be a waste. I barely eat Radish, only with my burritos..

I'm sober and it's fucking shit. I'm staying awake because my sleep pattern is fucked due to a mix of stress-induced insomnia and too much caffeine / amphetamines.

If I were to put a regular onion or potato in water, would I get roots and be able to be transplanted into the ground?

Get some pics up if you can. What part of the world do you live in?
Btw, what helps to stop snails/slugs? I put some ginger around but I'm not sure if it'll work...

Right now I mainly have just my fruit trees, plum, apple, and another kind of plum. I managed to kill my cherry tree, but I realize now that I was an idiot when planting it and put it in almost pure compost.
I have strawberries and tomatoes that do pretty well. A couple onions, some shallots. I'm experimenting with potatoes, I have no idea how well that'll do. I tried growing root crops, radishes, beets, carrots, and they all sprouted, but then we had a late freeze that killed them all. I'm planning on growing cucumbers and grapes, maybe a few melons.
The problem with our pathetic excuse for soil is that it's just sand and it's extremely alkaline. I amend it with compost, peat moss, manure, coffee grounds, and just mix all those into the existing sand. My garden's still rather mediocre though, and I still have spots where nothing seems to grow. I even managed to kill juniper in said spots.
Oh, and I'd like to put a small pond in just so I can support a few toads as a natural and adorable pesticide.

i dont have any pictures but i have 1 habenero multiple cilantro basil parsley 3 cucumber 2 zucchini 8 tomato plants 3 heirloom the rest regular 3 jalapeno plants mint plants and some other things i forget what. for fertilizer i use dehydrated manure or 5-0-0 organic fertilizer im an organic landscaper. so i don't fuck with any of the chemical stuff. for makeing your plants grow huge naturaly coast of maine lobster compost or penobscot blend is really good and a bottle of neptunes own liquid fish fertilizer or daniels plant food applied every couple of months will really help out with the size and yields of the plants both of them are safe to treat the plants untill the day of harvest. another thing if you have any mosquito / tick problems in your yard/ garden and want to get rid of them naturally get this shit called garlic mosquito barrier and apply it with a little pump sprayer it works wonders and works for about 3-4 weeks per application .

Rather than feeding plants, I tend to feed the soil. Good rotted manure, seaweed, leaf mould, anything I can get in it. Amend with lime as needed, but adding muscle and oyster shell for a long term release and dosed it with borax this spring due to a boron deficiency. Also make a poultry manure tea if anything needs pepped up. Wood ash whenever I have it for fruit.

Nice garden. I don't have any pics up of mine right now, maybe later. Unfortunately all of my tomatoes in my garden got slammed by a blight this year, it's a real bummer. I've still got two plants in a container by my door doing quite well, though, and everything else in the garden is doing fine. We've got carrots, lettuce, basil, parsley, and zuchini. Carrots are finally big enough to munch on, which is cool.
