View Full Version : I'm So Lazy, My Bedroom Is My Kitchen

When I was like 14, I was a pothead riding on puberty, so I was hungry as fuck all the time. So, I came up with a great idea. I bought a toaster oven and a mini-fridge and plugged them in under my bed. Every night, at 2:00 in the morning, I'd cook pizza bagels. It was orgasmic. I could cook and eat food without getting out of my bed.

Anyone else do this?

There's a minifridge in the bedroom, but no toaster oven.

That's a pretty neat idea, though.

I was thinking about getting a kettle for my room, but it seems a bit obscenely lazy when the flat kitchen is about 5 metres away, n it's nice seeing my flatmates as I stagger out in a caffeine-deprived haze. Haha.

All of those appliances burn so much fucking energy it's amazing. I don't think, with all the shit plugged in my room, that's even possible for me to do it without blowing a breaker.

Now all you need is the kitchen sink. Unless you use paper plates that is...

Yep I got a microwave, a fridge and toaster in my room. I could live up here. I keep the fridge stocked with Dew or Heineken's. I got popcorn and such. Poptarts. Al tho the fridge does have a freezer its not very stable to keep frozen foods. =p

I always had one in my room, I drink so much tea there's no way I'm leaving my room every time I want another cup, I bought one at the Bethnal Green market for like 8 quid anyway.

Back when I abused the ket and speed a bit too much I could have some paranoid weeks when I would hardly leave my room, I always had a crate of beer, cans of baked beans, tomato soup, chicken and mushroom soup and cup noodles.

I also had an en suite room, so I didn't have to leave my room to shower or go to the toilet.

Then you get a bit older and wish your kitchen was a little bit bigger than what you can fit under your bed.

Unless you get a bunk bed, then install a fridge and stove under the bed...

i got a toaster oven for my dorm...thing sucks. it's a cheap one though, so that's probably why. takes like 25 minutes to cook grilled cheese and it burns some corners and leaves others untoasted.

Same here! I want a mini fridge and microwave. I would have the fridge filled with ginger ale and beer would be in the back so that it is somewhat hidden. I would also have hot pockets.

I have a fridge of beer in my room & the occasional snacks
the main reason is my housemates tend to drink all the good beers & leave me with shit like fosters..
I'm fucked if they find it though..

Toaster over is becoming a possibility

omg i want a mini fridge. Keep it stocked with 32 oz High Lifes and like, Pepsi or some shit in the front, Chimichangas and tyson chicken nuggets in the fake freezer. oh and paper plates and paper towels in the fridge (idk!) Then a Microwave right by it. In the closet. Oh god how much would that cost.

Scaling a ladder is much more hassle than walking though imo.

You are 14. Your not a pothead.

No. But when I was at university I was desperately trying to get an essay finished and starving at the same time, so I ate the only thing I had in my room - one of those fajita packs, the ones where you get the tortillas, some salsa and some seasoning mix - and I ate it all uncooked. Unsurprisingly it was very, very dry.

My kitchen is about ten steps from my room, so it's kind of pointless for me to have a fridge in my room... :D

Ewww, you go to sleep without brushing your teeth?

^ ever wonder why people who drink have bad breath?
It's because they're always too drunk to brush their teeth before they collapse into bed/onto sofa/onto floor. And in the morning, the hangover is so bad that brushing the teeth will possibly cause vomiting.

I live alone in a (too) big apartment. I moved my TV and mattress into my kitchen, and I just live there now. I only have to leave the kitchen to use the bathroom and go to work.
