Hey guys,
I'm looking to purchase a decent hardware key logger but I've found so many and I'm not sure which one I should get without paying out the ass. Does anyone have any good suggestions?

I got this as a gift and loved it. It's expensive though :(

Shit, mine looks similar. I'll ask where my friend got it from.

You can pick up a little PS/2 to USB converted for pretty cheap.

Alternatively, you could just build a logger yourself. All you need is a flash drive and some patience.

Look into USB switchblade development forums.

Just make one. It's a very cheap and basic piece of kit.

This, but I for one would know where to start, and how to program the microcontroller.

Furthermore thinkgeek has USB hardware keyloggers.

http://www.keelog.com/diy.html for ps2, but the firmware is inferior, you have to run an executable to get the data.
EDIT: You can access it on your own pc.
If i can get the parts I might do this project, and lets you guys know how it pans out.

There was a simple keylogger that you could make from a few resistors and a diode. I'd try and look for it, but it would be a futile attempt at trying to spread knowledge consider everyone wants the 'quick and easy' way to do things.

All good quality from my experience with them.

I'm quite interested in how the hell a couple of passive components could possibly constitute a digital keylogger.

Me too, because then I don't have to buy a microcontroller programmer.

I'm monitoring our family PC with this device bought at microspygadgets (http://www.microspygadgets.com/en/2-keylogger). I'm satisfied with the product :)
