My mum has this pomeranian x maltese.. she puts clothes and stuff on it.
Seems kind of gay..
Do any of you put clothes on your dog or cat?
Pic is the dog in question.

My girlfriend insisted on trying to put little shoes on our rottweiler/german shepherd mix because we were going to the snow...and a vest. Needless to say they were both off in a matter of seconds and he was up to his shoulders in snow...and loving it lol.

Domestic animals aren't supposed to wear clothes, they have fur for a reason. It's not cute, it looks silly and it's likely the animal is pissed off.
There's a guy round where I live who dresses his two Huskys up in Sunderland shirts. He's ridiculous.

The only accessory dogs should be wearing is a badass collar and sunglasses.

I have a really close friend with a huge German Shephard that she forces to wear a coat when it's snowy/cold out. It doesn't go out of the house without said coat and booties, which I think is fucking retarded because what's going to happen if the dog happens to get out? It no longer can deal with harsh weather without.
Plus the dog looks miserable, and she looks like an idiot.
If I ever tried putting clothes on my dogs they would rip them off in 2.5 seconds, then probably try to kill me for humiliating them.

Putting on clothes stops me from putting extra spiked collars on it.
My dog is big enough to use as a horse, it's a Wolfhound, I've used it for jousting before.

I used to know a guy with a Mastiff, and he put an XXL hoodie on him, with the hood pulled over the top of his head. He looked awesome, and didn't seem to mind.
This is probably one of the few exceptions though, it usually makes the dog look like garbage.

There is nothing funnier than putting a T-shirt on a golden retriever and watching her desperately try to shake it off for twenty minutes.

You need to get out more.
Clothes on dogs.. tails on people?
My reaction on a thread about dogs wearing wigs (it's relevant);
I don't find dogs wearing wigs endearing at all. All I can think of when I see that is the pathetic owners, so far down the bottemless pit that is their life that the only entertainment they have is dressing their dog up like a human.
They probably also make them wear clothes and hold them for comfort on lonely christmas nights while they pray santa is real and would come down the chimney so they can have some real human interaction for once a year.

It looks rather stupid on large dogs, and I hate most small dogs enough that it really doesn't matter if they're wearing clothes or not.
But I'm not going to judge, hell, I talk to my fish and cat and regularly feed the latter human food if she's bugging me. I do hate to see the dogs who obviously HATE wearing clothing being stuck in that position.

My mom has a chihuahua and the thing needs to wear a sweater half the year, however this is for keeping it warm. If the clothes aren't needed its kind of ridiculous.
