Oh yea, I highly recommend some beatles stuff like Julia, Dont Let Me Down and some of their rather cliché psychedelic (it's fucking good nonetheless) songs if you're going to be tripping. I did and it was really amazing (ah the colors!!!) have fun.

I was going to list Pushit. :(
Even better would be Third Eye by Tool. My two favorite Tool songs.

Pink Floyd - Astronomy Domine
Pink Floyd - Echoes
Blur - 1992
Modest Mouse - Dramamine
The Turtles - You Showed Me

When the music's over is terrifying?
Damned existential angst. That's why I prefer complete silence, and dark usually.
I listened to Third Eye by tool on acid the other night...Its very worthy.
Also..Meshuggah - Obzen (the whole album)

I think The Final Cut is the worst Pink Floyd album. Roger's solo work is really hit or miss for me too.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jyz9W-noVOI - dj pierre (muzik)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xW_4r1rVfcU - phuture (acid tracks)
dj pierre and his group phuture are said to be the founders of acid house, very minimal electro with great synth. great to listen to when on any amphetamines or mushrooms.
here's a great dj pierre set, it streams from the site so you don't have to download it. enjoy!

listening to that almost made me high by itself
It does kick ass, doesn't it?
Man, the first time I heard it was one of those great drug moments you have in life [assuming you do drugs...]. It was back when I was a mortician [so I was 21] and I found some acid an ex roommate had left so me and a friend took 5 hits each at 2 in the morning. At 6am I remembered that I had an 8:00am funeral to work. So I hopped in the shower while still peaking. That song came on the radio when I was washing my hair. Man! What a trip that was. I was tripping so hard that while washing my hair it looked like I had 8 arms, and the music just sucked me in deeper.
I did manage to work the funeral, more or less. At a couple of points I had to hurry to the office because things just got so surreal that I couldn't keep myself from laughing my ass off - especially when this one very large black woman went into hysterics.
....Good times...Good times...
