Dumb question: Doing graffiti without getting caught

There's a 28' trailer in a parking lot near me that I want to vandalize with offensive graffiti. I've never done anything like this before. Are there any basic guidelines for doing this without getting caught?

(The stupid sayings sharpied/paint markered on the grip/deck are very old as this boards from when i was about 17 but i really enjoy the syd barrett stencil and the shape of this board , It's an Alva pool board and it has a slight fish tail with not to huge of an arch , i believe the measurements were 10.75 by 32. I now have huge wheels on them. Probly around 65mm and there also ridiculously soft. I cruise on this beast for now but i can still toss a tre flip or two with it)

Don't have a common tag, If you spray it somewhere else cops could charge you for the other graffiti based on that tag.

Wear dark clothing, don't do it when people are likely to be up (eg, go for 2-4 in the morning).

Don't wear said clothing anywhere else. Either witnesses or the more obvious fact of paint on the clothes

A friend of mine...has been doing this for years every night so here is his advice, wear dark clothing obviously, try not to bring a bag it draws suspicion to yourself. If you are just writing cuss words and stuff or whatever you are doing you will porbably only need one can. Plan an escape route before hand in case a cop or someone rolls up. If you can walk there unnoticed do it at around 3am, but if you have to walk along major roads or something to get there, go for like 12 - 1am. Don't be a pussy overall it's easy as hell. Get in paint your shit and get out quick is what it comes down too.

that isn't harsh at all dude. you ruin peoples shit that usually costs a lot of money. but you weren't the one that had to pay for it so you had no idea. then you sit around wondering why they fucked you so hard. if you're going to write, take time and make it look nice. don't just write 'fuck you' on a wall with shitty writing and make the place look even shittier.

This place is catercorner to the gym where I like to work out. I was thinking to be work out, run across the street with paint & disposable gloves, write, ditch the materials, and run back to my car. If anyone would ask, I would be sweaty and in PT clothes, so I could claim to be out running. It would only be during the ~2 minutes I'm actually writing that I'd be vulnerable. I can wear dark PT's and do it during the night.

graffing is kinda kidiotic not that thats bad, theres a certain charm about airsoft mods and making flash powder and firecrackers, go to rotteneggs.com they got loads.
but i cant help but wonder, isent the idea of graffing and other things like this the adrenaline of the risk?
