Over here mace(only CS, OC is legal) is considered by the law a "chemical, biological weapon", you can face up to five years just for carrying it, using it on somebody can lead to ten years sentences or more, I think somebody was even accused of attempted murder for using it.

Obviously being that it's Italy you probably will just serve a few months and then be on house arrest for a little while longer.

The funny thing is pepperspray is ok, only CS is banned.
