Have you ever noticed a distinctive smell emanating from ADF uniforms, including headwear?

Perhaps your nose is not sensitive enough.

Ever hear stories of or know someone who was discharged during basic or later service due to reporting a smell in the uniforms, and told they were having olfactory hallucinations, are schizophrenic, and not to talk to them as they are crazy?

Apparently these are synthetic pheremones. Synthetic in the sense they are completely man made and not naturally occurring, and are not synthetic copies of naturally occuring pheremones.

They go to work in the parts of the brain that pheremones target anyway, however their reactions within the brain are quite unlike that of anything naturally occurring.

CT units within the ADF structure are sprayed in the face with a substance that makes them feel 'weird' just prior to completely suiting up and conducting missions or realistic training scenarios.

Or so good sources tell me.
