Hey is there a way to wrote words and then put a simple outline of just onepixel thick solid black around it, i need it for just simple graphics to use in pain but its a pain having to draw around it myself. thanks.

Wrote [sic] the text you want on a plain background, in black. Copy this, then paste it in transparent mode 8 times, in each of the cardinal directions, one pixel away from the center position. When you're done, write the same text in the colour you need, and paste it transparent in the middle of the black outline you created.

you can do it in photoshop, just download it off bit torrent
write the word with the text tool. On the layers tab, press the button that says fx on it. Select "stroke..." enter 1 in the box with px next to it. Press ok. You now have a letter with a black outline on it.

Yes there is a simple way. Copy and paste the image on top of itself, but make it smaller in height and width by 2 pixels, and then change the colour.
