But about 20 minutes after I posted it, everything went tits up over there.

Here's my latest Parkour/Free Running video. All action is me, and it's edited by me.

http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=IUnj_uPsY3s

It's not really representative of current skill level, just some footage from over 2008 I wanted to get off my hard drive to clear some space. If you're interested, I've been training for 3 years.

Anyway yeah, just thought I'd put it out there!

BTW...any other Traceurs/Parkour practitioners on Zoklet?

Thanks a lot for your replies guys, I was quite shocked as I was expecting at least a few generic Totse insults to be thrown at me!

To answer some of the questions...

psycho_8b - Some of that was filmed in London, but I'm from the Midlands.

SHARP - In 3 years of training, the most I've had was a cracked kneecap and torn ankle ligaments (touch wood). Mainly because I started off with very small movements and jumps and moved up slowly.

negs - A good place to start is anywhere! Start with small jumps, increase your strength and awareness. Some good tutorials for specific Parkour movements can be found on the bottom right of this page... http://www.urbanfreeflow.com/

Lord_BTY - Big thanks

Shibby - For the purpose of the video, a lot of it had to be planned in order to set up cameras etc. But during usual training, a lot isn't planned. The movement comes naturally and the type depends a lot on the environment.

Thanks again guys.

You need to get into a major movie. That was amazing.

Brought a smile to my face! I don't think I'm at that level yet. Hopefully one day!

Neither sounds very pleasant, but it's good to hear that's the worst that've happened; as is obvious from your post, you're well aware that this hobby can be a bit "unhealthy" if one doesn't start out small.:D

Keep up the good work, and post more video's when you get it taped.

After seeing some of the responses on here, you can count on it! Makes it all worthwhile.

Slowburn - it has been said before! I've often thought before that access to certain areas etc would be greatly increased. You could look at it another way, instead of using these skills in this negative way (or positive, depending on your role!), maybe it would be advantageous for the police/military to take lessons in Parkour. Just a thought!

Yes, but I was talking about you specifically. I think anyone and everyone who is able to train or learn parkour, would benefit from it lol.

Agreed... it leaves me wondering if anyone has ever started training Parkour with this sole purpose in mind.

Heh, i used to practice parkour on a daily basis back when i was in upstate NY. I've been in Boise for a while though, and i haven't found anyone to practice with unfortunately, so i've been out of the game (with a few small exceptions) for a while. I'm moving back east soon though, so hopefully i can get back into things.
