View Full Version : Like Jeans, But Better
I love jeans. The more I wear them without washing, the more comfortable they get. Levi's Regular Fit is the best. The only time I take them off is when I take a shower or have to go to work. I sleep in them, I eat in them, I browse Zoklet in them. I can go weeks without changing a pair.
The downside is that they're heavy and being made out of cotton, if they get wet, they stay wet.
I'm looking for a replacement that would offer the same comfort as jeans. The same straight fit. The same pocket layout. The same durability. But made out of a different material. Specifically speaking, something that dries quicker. The weight factor is secondary, but just something that dries quicker than cotton.

You should bring back tearaways.

Well, you're just going to have to live with them now. There's no going back at this point.

lol, there is a solution to your problem, however its rather expensive.
Prada Linea rossa makes jeans coated with teflon, they are very light weight (as are all prada jeans), however they are expensive.
Levi's for jeans isn't really a good choice as they seem to be "rough" and heavy. I like my clothing lightweight and soft.
Mark's Work Warehouse actually has some very comfortable pants that are denim blended with something else. They're reasonably priced.

Go for a leisure suit.
Also, why would you buy Levi's? You are overpaying a shitload of money just for a red label.
Euda > Thanks for the heads up. I will check it out.
Nukem > They are usually on sale. I can usually find 2 pairs for ~$50 CDN. And I find them very comfortable.

Still rather expensive.
I got a nice pair of jeans at Steve'n'Barry's for, I think it was 6$. A year later, they are still as good as new (and really comfy).

Get some rip stop Dickies. They have the same pocket layout and dry faster, I believe.

L-O-L.
When I saw this thread title in Hot Topics I thought to myself, before clicking on it "Tracksuit pants are also like Jeans but better (except for the pockets) in some ways. I should make a thread in there called "A Case For: Tracky Dacks", but I see it's already been made.
Just so you know, they're associated with drug dealing wogs and working class trash, and have never been out of popularity since their invention.
